Final of the Euros to have 75,000 in attendance and Uefa VIPs to be exempt from quarantine.

I'm sure SAGE have confirmed this is correct, given that the rich can't get covid.
 
There’s no one from the uk going to be there anyway so fuck em. They’re all lower case rates than us and anyone who matters has been vaccinated here 😀

It was only a few weeks ago the mask Nazis were patrolling the stands at Wembley for 4000 Blackpool fans
How will they cope with 75k?

Only 10k was safe there, luckily under even worse covid cases now more are allowed.

I'm not sure "no one actually gives a shit" is a fair reflection.

I know loads of people who are still being cautious about how they meet people etc.

Tsseasider, What it will do is send those that were sat on the fence into,I don’t give a sh... anymore.
Rules for one side rules for the other won’t be received well by a percentage of people who have behaved and followed guidelines.
I’d be a tad hacked off if I was in the hospitality industry.

I can see why those in hospitality will be asking some serious questions and there is the message for everybody else; which as you put, might make those who hitherto have done the right thing, to say - I'm not sacrificing my lifestyle anymore.
 
I'm not sure much of this is driven by science anymore, was it ever?
All those people who were forced to cut their holiday short in Portugal and come home almost immediately resulted in them being tested and 0.5% of them being covid positive.
Was that a scientific decision or one of political control of a situation?

The JBC have published the data supporting the decision, personally I can't see anything in it to support the move but it does appear to have been made by the scientific advisers and not the politicians.

I suppose this is where we have to question who is running the show, ultimately the scientists are funded by the government, are they going to be truly independent or are they going to please their paymasters?

Look at the membership and it's pretty obvious that they're as independent as possible.

For example, one of the members is the CMO of Scotland, if the committee really was being leant on by Whitehall imagine the delight that Sturgeon would take from imposing different rules.

Sounds positive, I suppose the only other problem is that they have never had so many people listen to them or been so close to having some sort of power, hopefully they have smaller egos than the sad shower of politicians the UK is inflicted with.

I’m ** fuming I. Can’t even take groups over 6 in my hotel. Can’t serve buffets. Can’t have tea /coffee etc in bedrooms Well fuck them im thru with it all now. They can go and Bollox.
ive abided by all this shit for the past 15 months. Still had to pay our bar license even though we’ve been closed
Now I’m saying FUCK IT

It isn't working because the master of culpable negligence decided that begging for a trade deal with India was more important than closing borders. Funny that Mr Lazy hadn't learned from his past mistakes. Locked down too late last March, locked down to late in the autumn, and failed to control the borders throughout most of the pandemic. You have really got to go some to find a more incompetent leader to be in charge during a pandemic.

Can’t say I blame you Michelle, I’d be tempted if I was you. This is exactly what’s going to happen, the WHO have now expressed concern about 60000 at the semi finals and final.
Two sets of rules from where I’m standing.
