Yes I think the play off 1st leg just showed us why Burge was rated a better keeper than Maxi

Burge pulled off a great save tonight in the first half and then smashed one against a Lincoln players arse and in his net it went from a poor back pass.
Burge isn't in the same class as Maxwell.

Over the full season we conceded less goals than any other team so officially the best defence in the league.
There has been plenty of criticism of Burge on the Sunderland forums but he was far from alone with that.
Even their fans must have been puzzled by him being named L1 keeper of the season.

It was an insane choice, even a lot of Sunderland fans couldn't believe it. In some ways it helps us as it must fire some of our players up.
