It’s hurting deeply , especially as my hometown of Carlisle are likely to be getting promoted to league 1.
All my workmates are giving me stick at the moment, but I simply can’t find any positives as a comeback.

Just wish some of the players showed as much passion when they cross the white line and dig deep and find a way out of this mess.
 
He us spot on with his rant. I honestly put most of the blame on the board. They chose Appleton and then they chose not to recruit the players he needed, they then got a couple of wingers and sacked Appleton and chose McCarthy, a manager totally opposite for the players we had and brought in a couple of more crocks who are now both injured. Absolute garbage by the board cos they wanted to stay up on the cheap.
As for the players, confidence is shot and they are being asked to play in an unnatural way but they still need to show some fight. Having said that how do they press when they are being instructed to back off and defend by the dinosaur. Pathetic

An absolute shameful performance to go with all the others.
Lee is right 100%. All this constant pandering and defending the players is nauseating, blaming Mansford, blaming Appleton, blaming Mcarthy, blaming Sadler. At some point the players have to be held accountable.
 
Lee was spot on with his quote of weeks and weeks of must win games , the players look to me as though they don't give a toss ,we probably got the wrong mix of loan players but everything has been mis managed this season
 
No one is going to pay £30 to watch that crap tonight. It's actually £20 Lee and £15 for Seniors but agreed no one is rushing down for tickets to watch Mad Mick pick a team that may or may not carve out a 0-0 draw.

So you know what's being said in team meetings .People who call and put down don't look too bright .That is unless they have the answers . You seem to have blamed everyone in some way . So if you want to prove yourself let us know the way MM should play a team that has numerous injuries [I believe the last two signings that got injured were arranged before MM took over]. Have tried attacking before MM arrived ,but had not won in eight.

We have two loan players that think they are bigger then everyone else because they are from Leeds and Man City. We keep getting suspensions on top of this . We tried attacking before MM arrived ,it didn't work . We just have to accept we have a sub standard team for this division and stop blaming people.
 
I don't think it is as simple as blaming the managers/coaches, the players have not got anywhere near the levels they did last season. The recruitment has been a joke. Our injuries have bordered on insane. Even our support at times has been poor. So it's pretty much a collective failing.

Everyone knows how a Mick McCarthy team plays and we employed Mick McCarthy knowing full well we do not have the players who can play his brand of football. That was a ridiculously bad decision. As for me not being in team meetings for his instruction, c'mon, you dont need to be in a team meeting to see that. Players arent just going rogue are they. I have no doubt they are trying to implement his plan but as said earlier they are not the right type of players to be able to do it which backs up what a poor decision it was to recruit him in the first place, him and us was always a bad match.
 
Despite everything, I tell you what, if the team sheet comes in and Fiorini is starting along with Poveda, Rodgers and Bowler and Keshi is back in the squad also ill prob start feeling confident again. I think its that hope that is worse than anything 🤣🤣🤣

I was thinking that last night and looked at Cardiff's run in and there could be two outcomes from tonight.
1. In the very unlikely event of your theory happening (I know it's in jest) and we win, then 🦖 continues in that mode then it's not over.

2. Anything less than 3pts still playing Dinoball then SS surely has to pull the trigger on 🦖 and his sidekick Terry Dactyl and we still have a chance all be it a very slim one.
 
I agree with most of that especially the disciplining of players which given what we are up against is just nonsense.

I do think he’s a bit harsh in suggesting the players aren’t doing their best. The problem there is the set up and tactics which unfortunately if the players don’t buy into will eventually affect morale, performance and work-rate generally.

I agree with you that the players we had would certainly not be MM 's choice , but nearly everyone was on here saying get rid of Appleton . So that's what SS did ,at his own cost . Did we need a manager quick and who was available at short notice. I don't know ,but there would be very few with the experience of MM . He had saved clubs before and he was willing to accept a contract only till the end of the season . I don't think it was a mistake signing MM ,I just think there would not be anyone else who could save us if he can't.
