Lets look on the brightside

As were Huddersfield and Rotherham. I know you think I’m either arguing for the sake of if or a pessimist, I’m neither, I prefer to think of myself as a realist. But would be delighted to be proven wrong.🤞
Coventry wouldn’t have been up there as a game we’d have anticipated winning, other sides haven’t broken away, so our situation hasn’t changed.

That situation isn’t affected by how you think of yourself or how I think of myself. If you are a realist, an optimist or a pessimist the basic fact of the matter remains the same… It’s only the thoughts that you attach to the situation that differ.

Your basic premise that our situation hasn’t changed is materially wrong. It has changed in that our goal difference is 4 worse than before the Coventry game, and we have one game less to accrue the necessary points.

Our situation has changed and it’s changing all the time, however we didn’t need to win all
of our remaining games to be safe … So losing or drawing some of our remaining games is already built in to our expectations.

Coventry was certainly one of the games that we may have lost… We did lose… So that’s at least one loss out of the way.

Had we won the Coventry game then that situation would have been better than expected.

Sorry ,I don't think he was trying to ban the post. I just thought he had asked a simple question about the post .To answer that simple question my answer would be "No ,the original post is unhelpful and is in poor taste." So I don't understand why people have put a like to your post as nobody has tried to stop the original post.
There's a reason why no one has put a like against your post.

I think defensively we're ok. Lyons, JG, Marv, Nelson, Thornily (?), Hubby, DT. It's midfield and up top we need a fire-sale and clear out. Excluding Jezzer IMO. Connolly in too. But as for the rest of the perm players major surgery needed. Anyone know who's out of contract?

Nailed on for relegation now I reckon, but all isn't lost

At least Dick McCarthy won't be in charge and most of the shitester players who can't pass the ball to a teammate are out of contract

So it's a clear out and start again
Let's just hope the club doesn’t fuck things up again

Young positive manager please, ideally who wants to keep the ball on the ground

Keep the faith

Utmp....
And are you paying for that Phil ?

I think the brave and correct Managerial decision yesterday would have been to start much tighter, with a similar approach to Burnley tbh.

Unfortunately we probably got a bit carried away with the result on Tuesday and thought we could be more expansive….

Pants down time … As I predicted !
Frustratingly, I think we can have a go at Preston but, following the Coventry thrashing, he'll probably stick everyone behind the ball again.

It's been planned in to be fair. No clusterfuck in management as Phil mentions but managed decline. Ben eluded to as much on his radio lancs interview that we have bottom 4 championship / top 8 league 1 budget, so this is where we'll aim to play until infrastructure changes means we can increase the budget.

Last year, this season. Not sure what your point is? Our rivals are picking up points NOW which makes it harder for us to claw our way out. I don't like it either but facts are facts. Hope we can do it.
Head in the clouds again Wizaard

What on earth are you blabbering on about?
He’s probably blabbering on about the cost of a bright new young manager and a big clear out that would involve signing some decent players on decent wages that would entice them to come here, imagine if we’d have got bishop, it’s depressing to see how many goals he’s scored, & yes it’s a league below but for the right money & not pissing about with the medical team saying he had a club foot or something when he was 2 years old then if he’d have scored half the amount of goals ( which I’m sure he would have) then we would be reasonably safe

I think I’ve posted that twice, the medical team are to blame , fuckwits, although I doubt they even properly assessed him, probably out of our price range so make an excuse to the fans & show we make an effort to sign good players

Think we were paying circa 1 million and something did turn up on his medical as Pompey subsequently got him for circa 500k

Its Wellens for me all day long!!! Should go all out for him. Let him build a new side completely.

McCarthy hasn't got a clue

There isn't a chance we can win enough games playing his style of football

The away form and tactics of just letting the opposition have the ball will get us zero points
Played 5 away games lost 5 under MM with some absolute shocking performances.

He’s incapable of changing tactics away though as it’s all he knows.

A big fat zero.

I’ll let him off at Boro cos they are a different level to us & most other teams, but the starting 11’s, tactical set-ups and performances at Swansea, Blackburn, Reading and Bristol City have been horrific & that’s on the Manager 👍🏼
4 winnable games as well and not one point

Awful ....

Quite exciting when you consider what’s gone on this season

Ok let's just wave the white flag, chuck in the towel and carry on carping for the rest of the season....great just what we need.
