Leyton Orient v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 27.02.24

Looking at the goal again Pennington had 2/3 chances to get closer to the ball.
Pennington is cack just watch him closely and you will see and don't judge him like some do after a win .We have fans that view games like children everyone gets a good rating .Had to laugh watching the podcast they were all giving him 7s and 8s and he had a terrible game . During the match we were all on edge thinking he was going to cost us but he got away with several blunders .However it was soon forgotten by the goldfish brains because we won .Just watch him very closely and it will dawn on you how bad he is

What is our style of play? We don't have a style where we've been working towards it all season it's just completely hopeful hoofs.

Utterly pathetic.

I could understand if we played in a way where you can see it and it's coming but might not be perfect yet.

There doesn't seem to be a plan we're building to.

Pennington is rubbish.

It's the same players who Critchley had motoring on Saturday.

I don't understand it, but it's the same squad and manager.
We need to get over that argument and defence for Critchley. Happens too often away from home. Makes the home performances absolutely pointless.

CJ again... at the back and can't even hit a ball. I honestly no idea what CJ offers us

Playing well and balls into space yes, but way we currently play... offers nil

CJ Hamilton couldn’t pick a man out in a tangerine shirt if we had 50 in the goal area. 🤬

Good job we have him a 3+1 contract. 😮

You can't pick and choose which results you judge the manager on.

I agree this is awful and it's far too often away from home, but the flip side is we've been excellent at home.

It makes it hard going as with a bit more away, we'd be in with a chance of going up. As it is, it's incredibly unlikely.

Confirmed tonight we are stuck with Critchley next season as well.
I haven't listened to his interview yet but I see he has said he is putting 5 million of his own money into the club every season, we all know that and we are really happy he is doing that, his commitment has never been doubted, BUT what he clearly cannot do is choose a manager, he has failed miserably at that and he has obviously said Critchley is here for next season too. He shouldn't be saying that because when we end up a whimpering 12th at the end of the season and the crowd calling for Critchley's head he's either going to look stupid if he sacks him and even more stupid if he keeps him on.

So off the pitch wonderful, on the pitch like a fish out of water because at the end of the day we want to see the team doing well not being tactically clueless we don't want what we have seen this season. That, at the end of the day is what matters to supporters,

Losing Lyons absolutely knocked the stuffing out

We need more craft and be able to cope with that but there is Critch’s post Match for you
