Liverpool bars O)t

The white star in the cavern quarter.

Old spit and sawdust pub, loads of beatles and boxing memorabilia on the walls.
I don't think they've got two glasses that match but a good selection of beers at a decent price.
If you're looking for newish modern surroundings then steer clear👍🏻

A definite go to for me when in Liverpool. It still serves draught Bass I believe.

The Philarmonic Pub, an absolutely delightful Victorian gem, with original tiled walls and period interior. Also Doctor Duncan’s, another Victorian Gem.

Just remember not to look directly at a Scouser in any PUB.

Ok I go back to my University days there, which was a long time ago but believe me it was sound advice then and could well be today😉😉

…as for the Phil that was not a Scousers local…to full of us students😂

The pubs in the Georgian area are great . . The Philharmonic. Ye Cracke, The Grapes, Pete Kavanaghs . . all quality pubs
Kavanaghs is nor the bizarre place it was. As for Ye Cracke, I love it for its Lennon connections and the Boar War room but the last two times I was in the cask ale was either crap or non-existant.

Enjoyed went to the .
White Star was nice old sort of pub,the Grapes just had a quick pint, all reasonable.
It"s a bit sad to see American men sat nursing a pint in the Grapes because they want to soak up the Beatles atmosphere. They should go large and experience modern Liverpool. The White Star is still there and the the Cavern has been rebuilt, albeit a couple of floors down from the original.

I'm going to have to go in Eric's next time I'm there.
Been to Liverpool loads of times but never been in!!☹️

The Mitre, absolutely love it in there

Personally one of my favourite places to go for a few ales.
So many options,
We generally go to
love lane brewery
Mitre
Mowgli for a curry
Seven Brothers

I would suggest going to Lark Lane. It is the Bohemian place that the locals all go to, with loads of different types
of drinking places and restaurants and takeaways. Much cheaper than the town centre, used to go there every weekend for two years
when I was dating a girl that lived near Sefton Park. There was an urban myth that Adolf Hitler used to live in a flat there when he was a struggling artist, somewhere near Keith's wine bar.
