He does but he's been out injured for a while. Bad timing cos after an indifferent start when he looked out of sorts he had started to look really good. Had a very good game where he looked completely different, really aggressive forward running. Turned a corner and then got injured. It was described as a niggle at the time but heard nothing since. Don't know what the situation is. I'll try to find out this afternoon.

Josh Miles is probably the one I would think is most likely to make a first team squad breakthrough next. Jack Moore could be useful if Lyons is not yet due back too.
 
The guy who does media stuff for West says Donovan Lescott isn't training with the club. Having time out by the sounds of it.

I went to Bamber Bridge today. Harvey Bardsley played in goal and had a really good game. He was a bit nervous for the first few minutes, made one distribution error, but it wasn't costly. As his confidence grew, he looked really well comfortable as such a young lad. He made one fantastic save, and he had a hell of a kick on him, and his throw out distribution was excellent. He came to Brig after the nobbers had to recall James Pradic, after Woodman was sent off. Bardsley and Pradic are of similar stages at the respective clubs and Bardsley looks as if not more promising than nobber Pradic.

Taylor Bowen also started for Brig, he's strong for his age, did ok, nothing spectacular, but did well.

The one thing it reiterated was just how good Rob Apter is and was, there's not been one youngster from Blackpool, Preston, Bolton, Blackburn that have been on loan at Brig that has been anywhere near the level Rob showed at 18... Apart from George Thomason, who was also quality, but still not Apter level.

All in all, impressed with Bardsley, Steve Banks, Eardley, and Ciaran Donnelly were all there today.

I did manage not to fan girl when I saw Stevie Banks, and avoided saying something embarrassing like "my AVFTT username is your disco pants" 🤣🤣🤦

I don't know what's been happening with Harvey Bardsley. I know he's had injury problems but to the best of my knowledge this is the 1st competitive game he's played this season. Well done Harvey. 👍
Taylor Bowen had the honour as being nominated as my "one to watch" about 18 months back.
He went on loan to Workington (as a 2nd year scholar) at the beginning of 2023/24 season and more or less immediately suffered an horrendous injury that put him out for the remainder of that season.
I actually spoke to a Workington fan who had seen him play the few games he managed and rated him very highly.
He's been on loan at Runcorn Linnets already this season and has done OK (so far as I know).
The move to Bamber Bridge is a step up.
If the door had slid differently we might have seen Taylor playing this season ahead of Terry Bondo (but you could say that about a couple of other players).

I'm pretty sure his injury was playing for Workington at Bamber Bridge, and I was there that day. It's tough as a striker in that situation, he was playing alongside a big centre half that has currently been playing up front for Brig, who incidentally was today taken off and replaced by Mark Cullen 👍
