We'll probably never know the ins and outs of what happened but I'm not sure we can blame NC for that one. If I'd have been in charge, I'd have done everything in my power to persuade him to wait til the end of the season though.Whh did he get rid of Dougal?
Fuckin' idiot.
He didn't say that in his leaving statement did he.He was probably fed up of playing Critchball. I can't blame him for going.
That's your opinion and you are completely entitled to it.Another thread where a player not in the team is the best thing since sliced bread. KD was very limited in the things he did well and would have made little (granted, some) difference, but nowhere near enough.
Don't get me started on Dale........
And you are absolutely right. That's your opinion and you are completely entitled to it. This is pretty much the first thread I've ever started, and I did so because it's my opinion that Dougall was our best player, and that was my opinion for some considerable time before he left. I've posted many statistics in the past which I think demonstrate he was a very good player even in the championship so I'm not going to share them again. Whilst I believe he was the best tackler in the team and extremely composed and intelligent in possession, what set him apart for me, was his discipline and positional sense out of possession. Most football fans don't seem to believe that's actually a thing IMO and only see "has ball, kicks ball" and assigns a value of brilliant/useless to every player based on a subset of what actually matters in what, behind "kick it in the goal" is really a pretty complex team sport.
But that's just my opinion.
Dale who was subbed off at half time last night after a shocking 45 minutes, apparently?!I also believe we missed Dale who’s never had a good crack of the whip & was much better since his loan.
Never said he was a world beater but he was much improved with us when he was allowed to play, then dropped. Critchley out.Dale who was subbed off at half time last night after a shocking 45 minutes, apparently?!
I do sometimes wonder whether we just didn't see the best of Dale, he clearly had plenty of ability. However, I do also wonder whether he's ever going to deliver end product to match his ability. He reminded me of Keshi in some ways, and I thought he might have made a good attacking centre mid, but Keshi managed to be a genuine menace; kinda thought Dale looked like a menace without quite delivering.Never said he was a world beater but he was much improved with us when he was allowed to play, then dropped. Critchley out.
I don’t think it matters if it’s NC fault or not. We'll probably never know the ins and outs of what happened but I'm not sure we can blame NC for that one. If I'd have been in charge, I'd have done everything in my power to persuade him to wait til the end of the season though.
