I hope that we win convincingly and Applegoose manages to turn the season around.
I know what you mean x3 but the big concern is that MA has not instilled any confidence whatsoever so how long can we continue to say that a convincing win will turn the season around?
OPTIMISTIC HEAD OFF NOW...........but I think a convincing win (as much as I would like to see one) would just be another false dawn.
Sadly, the man just isn’t up to the job and the sooner Simon realises that and takes positive action the better. But at this moment in time the only way is down.
There are still quite a few on here willing to give him chance after chance after chance but my analogy would be that if you paid a professional to do some work for you and they made a right cock up then probably 100% of posters on here wouldn’t entertain giving them just 1 chance to put things right, let alone several chances.
I personally don’t think Simon will get rid (and Appleton certainly won’t accept his inadequacies at this level and walk) but at what risk?
Attendances will plummet if we go to Division 1, and being realistic we will get 4 or 5k of the stalwarts
No Burnley, Blackburn, Preston and probably not even Bolton to bolster attendances with a few local derbies.
Simon has a lot of things to consider here (which I am sure he is aware of) but he has to act fast before our league status is untenable.
I am sure though that one valuable lesson he has learnt is not to hand out 4 year managerial contracts.
Surely there must be some sort of failure clause in that contract?
