Came down the M6 on Saturday and the junction to M42 was closed, also junction 22/23 on the M6 was closed, probably all ok now.

Very little in either option normally but you want to avoid going via Reading town centre, traffic is a mare at the best of times.

Coming off at J 11 avoids that ?

The stadium is just off J11. Going A404/M4 will mean you don't need to go through the road works between J11 and J12 as you would have to if you go via A34/M4.
