So how come Macc have been deducted points for not fulfilling a future and yet Bolton weren't!

Macclesfield Town have been deducted seven points, with two more suspended, following an independent disciplinary commission hearing. It follows the non-fulfilment of their game against Plymouth in December and the non-payment of wages in February

Given 7 point deduction with immediate effect . Think this could finish them both on and off the pitch .

Maybe just me, but when we play teams like PNE, Bury etc I want their fans to sing 'oyston in'.

It's funny and that's what footie fans do. I could never understand why some of our fans got upset with Bury fans and their banner. If PNE went into administration and had 30 points deducted I'm sure we would take the piss.

Only thing I never want to see is any club ever go out of business.

Did you not know, Bolton are a big club whereas Macc....

Last time I was at Moss Rose Matt Gilks made his debut, Keith Southern got sent off and we lost 2-0.

I've no doubt that BRR will be along shortly to blame the EFL, but Macc played the big time Charlie card with Sol a while back and are paying the price.
We've done this thing loads of times but Ken Bates was right* that points deductions only punish the fans, and dont serve to address the underlying issues.

The PL and televised football has pushed owners down the route of trying to give people something to watch, but a 72 game pyramid doesnt allow for everyone to be successful where winning has become everything.

*It was definitely the EFL's fault for introducing this where KO was a rep on the board.

Absolutely right Plumbs. I think owners should all be required to personally deposit a significant sum in escrow when they take ownership and that sum is lost if an admin situation is encountered to be split equally with all clubs in the division affected. Plus a further payment of another significant sum by the owner personally to prevent a ban for being unfit and unproper to run a club.

Am I correct in thinking this is the punishment for not fulfilling their Boxing Day fixture against Plymouth? So surely Bolton’s non fixture against Doncaster in sept(?) has been dealt with by the EFL by now...,.? Or did I miss their punishment??

Bolton got a suspended 6 point penalty and a fine.

Who knows with the EFL? Two year suspension. To be fair maybe Macc have been in the same boat and this is a further offence?

All I can say is it's a damned good job they weren't provided with burgers after their games. 🙄
