Madine or not Madine

Madine.
Can hold the ball up and bring others into play.
CH's hate playing against him.
One of the best defenders from set plays reads the game well and often gets his head on the ball.
Unlike Yates and Lavery can actually play up top on his own and like Saturday when you get two of them together we're more of a threat.

He's our best forward it's a no brainer he should start we play better with him in the side.

I would expect him to play a part. Maybe starting, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if it was the same starting 11 as Saturday.

Are you a relative ?

Unfortunately he's the only big man we have to hold the ball up at the moment.
Yes but if having got it you don`t then use it as often happened tonight plus being a goalless machine makes him not worth his place.

And despite suggestions otherwise above I thought the ref was excellent tonight and very fair.

I agree, he's not the best but he's better in a 442 with Yates. He wasn't effective in that set up. He definitely lacks goals, you'd expect him to put in a few headers for his size

The ref let it flow tonight. No complaints

Really think beesley is the key to our striker woes tho, he's got it all, whereas all the rest are too far one way or the other

No coincidence we have looked better at the back since his return - ironically our defence without Madine from set pieces looks so much more vulnerable and as we can't score at the moment, at least if we can get a clean sheet, we get something on the board.

When do we expect to see Beesley? How bad was his injury?
Seems like he’s the forgotten man all of a sudden along with Stewart, Keshi, & Co.

Yeah. We cause more confusion when he plays which results in more scrappy chances. Also need Jerry in and around him and not playing as a lone striker.

Thierry Henri and Ronaldo started out as wingers didn't they?
I think Theo is more potent in front of goal than any of our regular strikers
You think beesley is not worth a go then?

If he saw him as a centre forward he would be playing him there. He clearly isn't afraid of playing his forwards out of position.

I think Beesley is some way off fitness whereas Corbeanu is ready now. Beesley did not start his career as a striker BTW.
Corbs looks the most likely to score among our team in every match he has played.

Willing to bet the stats to date for the last two and a bit seasons say that when Madine is not starting in the team Blackpool lose more than when he is in the team.So I am happy for him to be selected ahead of any other striker.

Personally if we are going to play madine in a rigid three up top, and we are doing, surely two proper wide players who can cross the ball are a necessity - or - the other two forwards need to be in close contact with him and width is provided by the full backs. At the moment it's neither fish nor fowl, we have three strikers but two of them are playing as advanced wing backs. We have a defensive mid playing as a number ten sort of and a playmaker as a defensive mid. With that going on we are unlikely to make a huge number of chances in open play. Maybe the MA tactic is to get forward and win freekicks corners and throws and try and get something from those.

Potentially we should have three attackers and two attacking midfielders in and around the box, with Gaz being the focal point. In theory😐

Lavery needs to play in the box either in a 2 or centre of a 3 (not my preferred). Totally wasted outside the box, wide left. Most natural scorer out of the 3 (we own).

I think I'd play him ahead of Yates and have Yates come on around 70 for him. and I love Jerry.

I wouldn't play Madine.

It must be a mare for MA, each player can make a case, but he needs to balance against a light midfield. Someone(s) has to track back.
