Man of the Match

I wrote only last week that CJ would scare defenders if the ball is put in front of him and people should get off his back. This is the first game this season that we have put regular balls in front for him to run on to. I believe if we keep doing this we will start getting the best from him and we will start getting results.

The thing what has made me laugh is that it has taken Critchley 5 games to have his players do this , because up until now the ball has been played to his feet or behind him . He is not one our strongest players and he can't dribble that good , so why has it taken Critchley so long?

Not haters but realists and CJ has to do that consistently and not once every 10 matches.
Unfortunately many of the comments on here clearly come across as a lot worse than realists and are downright nasty ( though others also get the same treatment too)
We played to his strengths yesterday and saw the benefit of it and the obvious switch in formation was a massive plus for the whole team.

MOTM for me was Wigans GK Tickle, his second half performance kept the game open and could have got then a point when they equalised. CJ, Rhodes for us stood out and I was very impressed with Dale when he came on. You have to applaud Critchley, super subs!
