They've signed some good players, but they're coming from a position of a side that struggled badly last season in league one. We already had a core group that was better, and we've added leadership and experience to that. We just need more in attack, and we've no idea really who we're looking at. Harris will have just been one option, and we don't know how high up our list of targets he was. So I'm not overly concerned just yet.
Hes a free transfer so costing them nothing. According to AVFTT finance protocol.Wow they are spending some dollar bills down there aren’t they, could see Oxford challenging next season
I doubt they paid in US dollars, but I guess you never know.Wow they are spending some dollar bills down there aren’t they, could see Oxford challenging next season
Yeah exactly that - with Liam Manning in charge and a full pre-season, we expect it to be a blip against recent seasons. Honestly can't wait for the new season given the signings. Next question is, can we get Kyle Joseph back in? Suits Liam Manning's style and worked tirelessly for us last season on loan, in a team that created so little... It is mad how much crossover our two clubs have had though! They didn’t struggle if you look at it short term. They were flying when their new manager came in and now they are strengthening.
They did struggle. After Liam Manning took over, they won 2 out of 11, including a home loss to Accy on the final day. Hardly flying? They were very poor pretty much all of last season. They didn’t struggle if you look at it short term. They were flying when their new manager came in and now they are strengthening.
Absolute rubbish . Check out their last dozen games or so.They didn’t struggle if you look at it short term. They were flying when their new manager came in and now they are strengthening.
Supposedly 60% of turnover (plus 100% of "fortune income") according to part 2, section 1 of the EFL regulations.Maybe the fact they pay extortionate wages to the likes of Brannagan, attracts other players, but they will still have to comply with fiscal rules of EFL
Absolute rubbish . Check out their last dozen games or so.
We got Pennington and Norburn. I wouldn't imagine Harris was a high priority target. We need to strengthen up front, let's see what comes in. Might well be better than Harris.End of the day, who cares. The fact is we appear to fall short competing against mediocre League One Clubs. If that is the case, we need to reset our expectation levels. Obviously we don't know the truth but the rumours would suggest we went in for Harris.
They don’t own a stadium, currently in planning process to build a new stadium in time for 2026. So…Oxford stadium is rubbish nearly three sided, Spent on wages instead.
