Officially signed for Oxford… I did think he would be the Yates replacement. Hope the board have someone else lined up

A bit disappointing we couldn't get this one across the line, but we'll hopefully have better or similar quality lined up.

Don't think he was the replacement for Yates either, even with Jerry in the squad we probably needed one more striker.

Are Oxford the new Bristol City. We have a player leave us for them, we can’t sign either their player or manager now potential targets are choosing them 😂

Maybe the fact they pay extortionate wages to the likes of Brannagan, attracts other players, but they will still have to comply with fiscal rules of EFL

They've signed some good players, but they're coming from a position of a side that struggled badly last season in league one. We already had a core group that was better, and we've added leadership and experience to that. We just need more in attack, and we've no idea really who we're looking at. Harris will have just been one option, and we don't know how high up our list of targets he was. So I'm not overly concerned just yet.

They didn’t struggle if you look at it short term. They were flying when their new manager came in and now they are strengthening.

Yeah exactly that - with Liam Manning in charge and a full pre-season, we expect it to be a blip against recent seasons. Honestly can't wait for the new season given the signings. Next question is, can we get Kyle Joseph back in? Suits Liam Manning's style and worked tirelessly for us last season on loan, in a team that created so little... It is mad how much crossover our two clubs have had though!

They did struggle. After Liam Manning took over, they won 2 out of 11, including a home loss to Accy on the final day. Hardly flying? They were very poor pretty much all of last season.

Absolute rubbish . Check out their last dozen games or so.

End of the day, who cares. The fact is we appear to fall short competing against mediocre League One Clubs. If that is the case, we need to reset our expectation levels. Obviously we don't know the truth but the rumours would suggest we went in for Harris.

We got Pennington and Norburn. I wouldn't imagine Harris was a high priority target. We need to strengthen up front, let's see what comes in. Might well be better than Harris.

Some people just go into meltdown every time we don’t get a player that some questionable media reports have linked us too. Grow up, I am not disappointed that we didnt sign this one, am sure we are looking at better. Did Oxford sign Norburn or Pennington 🤔No we did and I think they are much better quality. Calm down FFS 🤬😡🤬
