Legend striker for this club and top fella has just taken over Bob Wards physio place on Lytham rd. Had years of pain from a frozen shoulder, spent fortunes on all sorts of treatments, MRIs etc and got no where. Went to see Mark yesterday and slept a full nights sleep last night for the first time I can remember for a long time, the pain has dropped 75% after one treatment!! Back in again next week hopefully knock the other 25% off. Cheaper than all other physios I’ve seen too! So if In need he is definitely the Man to go and see.

An absolute legend to me. Free transfer from Harlepools. I vividly recall his half volley hit from the edge of the box (South Paddock end) down into the ground to beat the advancing keeper, which it did only to bounce up and hit the bar.

The nearly goal.

Has Bob retired?

Yeah total legend for me, found space and linked up play where there was none. My favourite for a long time when I started supporting Blackpool.

Funny thing was I'd only been discussing Mark last week & therefore googled him & never realised what a great post playing career he'd had as a physio following Sam Alladyce around.

That night he ripped Mel Sterland a second one, when we were awarded the privilege of being on the same pitch as Wednesday in the League cup.

I'm sure Sterland had just been capped as well. MT ran him ragged.

I remember how he used to skin defenders down the touch line using the slope of the pitch to his advantage. He was often a game changer with the ball at his feet and he had a wand of a left foot. Always felt that both he and BFC had been robbed of his services way too early with that injury.

Is it the same number as Bobs was?

Update on my shoulder which has been frozen for years and not been able to move top of my arm more than a few inches, after expert treatment from Mark can now lift my arm fully above my head, not out of the woods yet but out of lots of pain and a massive improvement, go see this Blackpool legend for any ailments you won’t regret it.

Where abouts on Lytham Road is he Hazi?

Missed this thread first time round. Glad Hazi revived it. Loved Mark Taylor; he was a really gifted player who got unlucky with a bad injury and was never really the same again. I also just googled him to try and find his scoring record in that season in (old money) Div 3, which I think was just before the injury, but maybe I'm wrong? He was scoring for fun then and was a real threat. Would surely have been sold for decent wedge?
Anyway, by googling him, i also discovered his wife was killed in the Manchester arena bombing. Never knew that. Really sad.

I remember him having a great game against Newcastle in the league cup first leg at home. Against the likes of Gazza, Waddle, Mirandinha etc.

23 goals that year in my memory, don’t think he could straighten his leg properly after the injury and was sold to Wrexham.

Yeah. It really took the edge off his game. The skills and craft were there, but not the acceleration to get away from players. He was sharp, pre-injury.

I expect a bit more for someone to become a legend 👍🤣
Legend is in the eye of the beholder. Mark Taylor was a great player for us when I was a kid, so when my mates were being Ian Rush and Kenny Dalgleish I was being Mark Taylor!

He was a tremendous player, 23 goals I think it was the season before the nasty injury, legend status for me
Legend does it over a long period for me, he was certainly a good player for us and has my respect, Morty, Mathews are Legends, Armfield et al.

Update on my injury not been to see Mark for months now, no pain at all and full movement in my arm! He has the license for Traumeel an organic cortizone without all the nastiness that has. Used by lots of sports folk as cortizone is banned in most. Anyone in Pain go to see MT
