I remember seeing it when it first came out.
Back in the late 70s and early 80s he used to stay in my parents hotel. He pretended to be the tower circus chaplain and would give my parents and other hotel guests a guided tour of the circus. The staff just played along with him knowing full well he wasn't quite a full shilling.
A great programme and a very real character.

Saw it when it came out, and have taped it tonight. Looking forward to watching it again. Really quite life affirming the first time I saw it. Mrs g hasn’t seen it, and isn’t really a football fan despite my best efforts. Looking forward to watching her reaction.
