Good luck
I would say yes absolutely and have done before plenty of times. But is NC a better salesman than MA for eg. Also more respected as a coach.
Appleton was respected enough to get the likes of Fiorini, Williams, Patino, Rogers, Poveda in on loan, I doubt NC would've had materially more pull. But is NC a better salesman than MA for eg. Also more respected as a coach.
Thats essential Championship experience for young Prem wannabes i reckon.Appleton was respected enough to get the likes of Fiorini, Williams, Patino, Rogers, Poveda in on loan, I doubt NC would've had materially more pull.
I'd argue Simms, Ballard, Embleton and Gabriel (on loan initially) were much better than this seasons loan playersAppleton was respected enough to get the likes of Fiorini, Williams, Patino, Rogers, Poveda in on loan, I doubt NC would've had materially more pull.
Any evidence that Critch would've got better, or even as good?Thats essential Championship experience for young Prem wannabes i reckon.
One division lower, and while we're a small fish in the Championship, we're a fairly large one in L1.I'd argue Simms, Ballard, Embleton and Gabriel (on loan initially) were much better than this seasons loan players
I think he got as good or better in L1 which takes some doing.Any evidence that Critch would've got better, or even as good?
He’s on a training bike to the right of Grimmy when being interviewed talking about his hols.Nah, thats Ekpiteta
I think that's relative to the average player in the division, chuck in Simms, Ballard, Embleton or Gabriel from 2020/21 into a lower end Championship side and, at best, they'd be average, if not simply not good enough.I think he got as good or better in L1 which takes some doing.
He was respected for getting loans it seemed, whether he could sell the club as well for permanent signings is another matter, he was a nice guy but people say he didn't seem to really believe in what we could be.Appleton was respected enough to get the likes of Fiorini, Williams, Patino, Rogers, Poveda in on loan, I doubt NC would've had materially more pull.
We'll have to disagree.I think that's relative to the average player in the division, chuck in Simms, Ballard, Embleton or Gabriel from 2020/21 into a lower end Championship side and, at best, they'd be average, if not simply not good enough.
I think my point is, and also to @voyeur, is that we vastly over-estimate the importance of the manager in signing players. He was respected for getting loans it seemed, whether he could sell the club as well for permanent signings is another matter, he was a nice guy but people say he didn't seem to really believe in what we could be.
Tbh the summer was probably more getting played by agents who offered the player to us, then got them double elsewhere at other clubs at that level.
But Appleton wasn't liked by many pool fans, I wonder if players pick up on the potential unrest for e.g. its hardly hard to find out, more chance of joining a divided club that might be in trouble if fans aren't with a manager.
Yes and yes.But is NC a better salesman than MA for eg. Also more respected as a coach.
Is no one going to mention the elephant in the room - what is that training top about?!
It's LyonsGood signing that and if we can get Norburn in this week and quash the rumour Lyon’s is leaving it will be a good week.

The new lad from Charlton specifically states he signed because of Critchley and the way he sold the club and how he could make him a better player. He was respected for getting loans it seemed, whether he could sell the club as well for permanent signings is another matter, he was a nice guy but people say he didn't seem to really believe in what we could be.

Yep, he's definitely more appealing. The new lad from Charlton specifically states he signed because of Critchley and the way he sold the club and how he could make him a better player.
I don't wish to be seen as passing judgement, A_T_G, but I would wager the aesthetics of the training tops have a certain finesse about them which perhaps doesn't quite meet with your less refined tastes. Still, each to their own...I don’t want to be too positive but struggling to find anything bad to say about the signing so will focus on the training top. Why are we making kits and training tops with these shitty patterns. Really home we go back to a plain design for the home kit. Last two have been awful.
