McCarthy’s Taking us Down

He looks like a bloke in the pub who’s been given a tracksuit and invited to join in with training as part of a competition. The 1980s wants it’s playing style back too.
 
I think we have to give McCarthy the next 2 home games v QPR and Coventry, anything less than 4 points out of 6 he surely has to go. What gives me hope is that McCarthy is still undefeated at home and played 4 games at home and delivered 6 points. Our away record is horrendous — all 5 League games lost and only 2 goals scored in those 5 games and 11 goals conceded, plus we lost away in the FA Cup as well.

If we were to win the next 2 home games next week, we will have closed the gap,

It will be too late if we give him the next 2 games... he's got to go now .. he's had 9 league games and it's not working..give Dobbie the job till end of the season
 
It was pretty obvious after a couple of games that it was the wrong appointment. I still believe that while we have the fantastic home support appointing Ollie for the last few games will galvanise everyone players and fans alike. (apart from Phil). It's one last roll of the dice but it's better than sleep walking into relegation.

I agree, when he played CJ at left wing back and bowler in centre mid I straight away thought this guy has absolutely no idea about the players he has taken over and has made no attempt to even make the effort to analyse them prior to taking the first training session. It feels like it is one last dance for him but to us it is more than that. He will be in Tenerife in the summer enjoying his summer holiday whilst we are trying to resuscitate the club.

Correct let's go down with a fight and not with the whimper as we are currently going down with.
He has learned nothing in the games so far and this negative shit needs to stop now.
 
Time for the players to stop feeling sorry for themselves they are playing for The Mighty Blackpool FC enough on that pitch today to play far better than that.

Spot on. The players have shown they are capable at this level at the start of the season. I went yesterday and it looks like they are mostly going through the motions, probably 'done in' by the tactics.

In a team where nobody truly shows for it, anyone putting themselves out will inevitably make mistakes and stand out. The fans get on their back and the negative circle is complete. A backs to the wall job is different because everyone has to pull their weight but to go out and win a game, that's a different matter.

We are fucked and I'm already at peace with it.
