McCarthy's win rate

Just found this nugget "His 14.29-per-cent win percentage at Bloomfield Road was his lowest across his managerial career' .. they could have put Mick Miller in charge and he'd arguably have done better!

Was supposed to play golf with him a few weeks ago at our place but he had to cancel because of covid
I wasn’t a fan of his when he managed us but was looking forward to an interesting round of golf
Really nice bloke but definitely has had his day.

I’m usually ‘nice’ about most people associated with our club, but he was ** dogshit.

Makes Critchball look like prime Brazil. Proper dreadful beyond belief and hated watching it never mind the results

Clearly an appointment that didn't work but the risk of that happening increases the more a club changes managers. With hindsight Appleton should have been given more time, but that error at least gave Sadler the opportunity to learn from the experience. Those on here though who want Critchley out now, should have a think about that.

The team he, inherited had very few fit 6ft players which he builds teams around, so it was never going to work
Agree, that’s his style, but in addition to that I feel like he was just generally past it. Actually not a bad manager in his day, but it was like a worse version of Grayson, he came to us on back of failure elsewhere.

Definitely a decision from Sadler that didn’t work out.
