MCLF: Season Review

A great summary of the season and a nice end to the whole series you've produced.

Thank you.

Yes thanks again.

It is baffling to me too that we spent a whole season doing exactly the same thing over and over again. And that some players stayed in the team regardless, while others just got the odd look in. That Apter wasn't ready, but less capable people were. He doesn't fit the system, you know!

It seemed like Critch returned to us last summer, eyes glazed over, and minus his spirit. And his soul too, sucked out of him perhaps by Stevie Gerrard, and spat out in demon Scouse Arabic. AL ITTIFAQ!

If SG clicks his fingers, do you dash to his side to do his bidding? No, Critch. Money isn't everything, and some people are best avoided. At least you're not stuck in the desert, grinding out nil nils, checking the payments into your account on your smartphone. And other forms of Satanic worship.

A sparkling read that td and bang on the money for our efforts this last season. Worryingly, you didn't even end it with an 'onward'. Let's hope we confound expectations, at least our own 😗

One more long winded indulgence for you to read/ignore as is your wont.

I chose to read, before I decided whether to ignore it or not. I think I enjoyed reading it but if not then I’ll pretend I didn’t.😉

Great read, sums the season up perfectly.... and how I feel too about next season, a bit meh which isn't how it should be.

Thanks for all your articles this season 👍

Just read your Blog.

A great “Season Review”.
As expected, a fine roller coaster of a blog.

Please keep the blogs rolling out 🙏

Disagree @td53 - I think it was both fish and fowl - right load of old carp played out by a bunch of headless chickens!!

Great read as always!

I'd sum up the whole season as disappointing and a series of false dawns. Our 8th position and having something to play for on the last day of the season was down to us having several very good players who really turned it on at times, Kaddy, Carey, Rhodes, Morgan for a while and often did something exceptional getting us wins, which I think masked the quite obvious flaws in our organisation and basic team play.
