Why develop our players by loaning other players?
We pissed Carey about so much last year fitting loans in that he's actually forgotten what kind of a player he is. The irony is, he ended up playing more than any of them, just rarely doing to role he actually plays.
It's not just about 'I like Apter'
It's more the whole point that the 'vision' for the club is that we're sustainable and over time we blood young players and develop them.
Apter has been ignored at a point when we really could do with his attributes (both before and now Dembele is here) and then shipped out.
Why? Some generalised guff about 'Critchley sees these players etc etc' doesn't cut it for me. He does, aye, but in no way do any of them morph into the little imaginative free roaming box of tricks that Apter is.
He's not like anyone else - so therefore he's an asset. Variety matters. You can't have 11 Gary's or 11 Wes's - you need a blend.
