So from the comments it seems that the guy runs a fan forum. He has been critical of the owner. Somone else posted an offensive post about the owner's daughter which either he or another moderator removed within an hour. And now the owner has sent him a banning order.

That's how I read it from the comments. What a joke. All too familiar.
 
Just further puts in the spotlight for proper and ongoing vetting of owners? Is there a backstory to this guy, or has this flared up out of nowhere?
 
Current owner was at Ilkeston Town previously where he did a lot of good work.

Bought Scunthorpe minus the ground and inherited a huge pile of crap. Massive debts and payroll. Club in free fall.

Invests heavily in playing squad and new management team. Team sit in top three of National League North and looking good for promotion.

‘The Athletic’ then run a piece on the owner with reference to spent fraud convictions and a theft from previous employer case.

Owner comes out and defends himself and fanbase implodes.

Owner now withdraws funding and removed club twitter and facebook accounts.

Can see why he said this if that is the case ,but no need to say what he said spastic fans.

If it is him, then it's not his money anyway. He married into a rich family and its all his wife's money that he just plays around with. I worked there for a few months when it was still the old building, he's a proper dick.
 
Peter Swann still owns the ground and surrounding land. He has the Blackpool connection with Promenade property etc.

David Hilton who has ‘spent’ convictions for fraud owns the club and pays rent to Swann.
