I think some of the reaction tonight has been nothing short of embarrassing.

It wasn’t a good performance but it’s early on in the season, and there’s good positive signs defensively to take out.

3 games in, and there’s fans booing and saying it’s some of the worst football they’ve seen Blackpool play - clearly must have short memory because last season happened.

Some heads need to not be lost, and people should understand there’s 43 games to go in what is not an easy league.

Might have to take some time off this site until heads have stopped exploding.

My worry is you might be away from this board a while then because Critchley won’t change anything soon if at all.

I have little concern currently, I’ll have proper concerns a couple of weeks after the end of the transfer window, if there’s no proper improvements and results are poor.

It’s early days, I think too many people are expecting League One to be some sort of walk in the park, nowadays it’s a competent division.

Your memory is also a bit short, it seems you don't remember Critchleys previously spell with us, last night was a typical Critchley team performance.

I remember it very well, as it was very successful. Last night was similar to a typical Critchley performance, however a typical Critch game would have more attacking intent, as we had creative players such as Keshi/Bowler/Jerry/Kaikai.

Get creative outlets in and we’ll be fine.

Thanks for that👍🏻#utmp🧡

Critchley stuck to the basics in his last spell but now seems to be messing around with silly formations and over complicated tactics such as the inverted wing backs. Seems to be wanting to be Pep and a tactician pioneer.

It’s a combination of thinking our squad is better than it is and underestimating other teams in this division.
Now the realisation is setting in.

I’ve never seen Pep play hoofball for over an hour to the shortest bloke on the pitch. 🤷‍♂️

Precisely. We have a strong squad but by no means the strongest, reinforcement is needed. It’s crazy how people thought this league would be some sort of walkover, especially with big budget teams like Sunderland, Derby, Ipswich, Wednesday all going down here and not going straight back up in previous years.

I don’t think 3-5-2 is a silly formation, it’s how you work it. On the inverted wing backs, I do agree, I think it can benefit both Lyons and CJ.

Exactly -

It was poor from the boys tonight ,lets just leave it at that ,no need to slag individual players off ,i am sure they now they were poor ,lets move on it is a Marathon not a sprint ffs.
Slagging players off , booing them off the pitch , shouting shoot when Marv has it at the half way line lol - joke

It's an unbalanced squad though, 8 or 9 central midfielders, for 3 places, but then only 3 forwards plus 2 and a bit wingers for the front line, the defence should be fine, but Gabriel is injured again, and Critch doesn't seem to trust Thompson, so we're short on full backs (or wing backs) as well.

A lot of work still required IMO.
