I don't really care how many coaching qualifications/badges you have, football is a simple game. Play our players in their best positions. Attack and score more goals than the opposition! None of this inverted wing backs, false centre forwards etc rubbish. Get back to basics! We have plenty of choice.

Proceeds to name the most confusing formation I’ve ever seen with absolutely bizarre position names.

Gabriel is a right back, not a left back. Can’t even be arsed looking at the rest of it

And neither Connolly or Casey are Right Backs.

Left half and inside right ffs 🤦‍♂️

Will be suggesting we give the players cigarettes before the game to calm any nerves.
 
If football is that simple, how come you haven’t pursued a career in it? Seems daft to think you could be earning millions from it but you choose not to.

(You can make up the rest in your head. It's quite good fun. I'm in a much better mood for imagining it to be honest.)

position names are correct
Goalkeeper numbered 1
full backs numbered 2 and 3
centre half numbered 5
half backs numbered 4 and 6
wingers numbered 7 and 11
inside forwards numbered 8 and 10
centre forward numbered 9

half backs are your defensive midfielders inside forwards are your attacking midfielders

It can't be that simple, you don't even know what position half the squad play in. Casey at Right Back? Give over.

Gotta get and keep possession Neil.
I'd go 442 or 4 3.5 2.5 - if u get me - almost 442.
But here's the thing, if, as seems likely, we're intent on playing CJ - then play him up front with Shayne or Joseph to rattle the slow defenders.
He can also provide speedy cover (as he does) for our corners allowing the two CBs to attack the ball in the box.
He can't do much worse than Beesley & Shayne have been doing up top already.
