Mick is already a legend

Two lines I'll take from this in capitals.
Someone who is excited at the job and understands the relationship with Fans!
Come on Mick .. can't wait for Saturday (and I've not said that all season!).

“From the initial contact with Mick, you sensed an excitement to come to Blackpool yet a calmness and confidence about the job ahead. Mick referred to our superb support from the first conversation and how important the fans will be for the remaining 19 games, starting against Huddersfield on Saturday.”

But it was Ben quoting MM.

You actually think he said it.

It's BM trying to get some respite from the abuse.

After such positive feedback from the BFC Board I can’t understand why they went with a 4 month contract when both Critch and Appleton were both on 4 year contracts.

He might fit us well. Big character and very pragmatic.

RIP The Process. 👍

It's done to protect the process, rather than make the same mistake we did with Appleton, not finding the perfect young hungry coach so rushing a search and finding a slightly less young, slightly less hungry coach. It's a short term appointment to give us time and space to start the work of finding the next Critchley again.

"As a Club, it also gives us the time to look towards the long-term vision as we continue to plan for an exciting future here at Blackpool Football Club."

My tongue was sideways. ;)

“From an Ipswich fan. He will get you organised and the players better be prepared to work their socks off, or they won’t last long at the club. If the local press or fans give him stick he will give it right back. The main bonus for Blackpool is that he is bringing Terry Connor with him. An absolutely brilliant coach and great guy”

Thanks for that, it's given me a lot more confidence,
Good luck !!!!!!
UTMP.

O.K. I like the respect he showed to Michael Appleton and in my view is just the sort of manager we need to buy us time as a club. Genuinely optimistic that he will keep us up.

Maybe if we go down, it's him who can't be arsed with League One.

Recovery job, and time to sort out the next phase of the process!

Holloway inherited a very talented and hard working group of players when Grayson abandoned ship. This hopefully will be a similar scenario with McCarthy in that he will give the lads the belief and freedom to express themselves in a way that Appleton failed to do.

We must remember also that the squad/team is nowhere near as bad as MA made them look, so it’s not as much of a mountain to climb as it looks on paper. In my opinion.

We’ve got this 👌
That is the key to where we are now and a great point out that LaLa, and it got me thinking(usually a dangerous thing) about how foolish MA has been.

Can't agree with that. When Grayson popped over to manage his Childhood team, he left us totally in the shxt with huge number of loans going back. TP managed to get some more in, and we went from there. yes, there were some good players, but I give Grayson very little kudos for Holloway's squad, more dependent on the much under rated TP.

MM inherits a much fuller squad, and I'm sure he'll have them running like a well oiled machine

IH had a whole season though, not a relegation place with 19 games left. Of course.

As far as I can remember, Holloway inherited the following players I am referring to, from Grayson tenure : Paul Rachuba, Shaun Barker, Danny Coid, Stephen Crainey, Ian Evatt, Kasper Gorkss, John Hills, Michael Jackson, Michael Flynn, David Fox, Wes Hoolahan, Keith Southern, Gary Taylor Fletcher, Ben Burgess.
There are others but in my mind this was a very decent squad for Holloway to start his rein at Blackpool with.

We hardly had a squad when Grayson left. Remember Torquay away in the cup. Thommo and Parky brought many of the players in.
