Millwall fans- James Maclean abuse.

Our punishment was on top of lots of other previous punishments which started with the bottle throwing incident at Accrington Stanley.

That's why our punishments are becoming stronger and stronger... because it still hasn't got through to some thick heads.

As a reminder, next time it will be partial ground closure and if it still continues, followed by full ground closure. It has to stop.

Millwall have a back catalogue of incidents to put anyone in this country and most in europe to shame, Violence, Racism etc etc certainly a dam site worse than throwing a plastic bottle (not that I condone it)

Funnily enough they've never had a Full ground closure!! deary me, people on this site go beyond exaggeration at times

So all one way then. He does what he wants but if you react in the slightest it’s all on us.

'Does what he wants'. Didn't do anything wrong in the first place. People don't like him because he holds his own values and doesn't wear a poppy. It's pathetic.

For the Club to properly get a grip of this they will need to invest in good quality CCTV, a good quality pa and high standard stewarding. Doing it on the cheap whilst asking fans to report on others will continue to achieve nothing.

This is not a Blackpool F.C. problem 1966, it's a James McLean problem and it seems to follow him wherever he goes.

He revels in the controversy he causes... 👎

McLean is not a BFC problem. The Blackpool fans' reaction is.
He most certainly is a BFC problem, when he's inciting racial tension and stirring up sectarianism in our stadium.

Our Fans reaction wasn't great , but the reality is that it's probably the only occasion in all the time I've supported the Club, that we've chanted a sectarian song.

I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't drop to his standards and neither should our fans.

Christ almighty. The message just doesn't seem to get through to some people. Read the article of our latest punishment again. It's here- https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66256143

The bit you really need to swallow is this -

"As well as a £35,000 fine, an action plan has now been imposed to deter a recurrence of any further misconduct.

Should an incident such as this happen again, further implications could be imposed such as increased financial sanctions or the possibility of fixtures taking place behind closed doors."

Whopper!! Brilliant!! 😁

I know it's a figure of speech. It's also a figure of speech that doesn't wholly apply to being in England either.
🙄

Jesus…If you want to go literal, I think it actually related to being in the forces.

I’m simply saying he’s choosing to earn his living here in England. And if he finds out culture and history so ‘objectionable’ then he is free to go back home.

Like so many people, his supposed ‘principles’ are out of the window when a few quid is involved.

He comes to our Club flashing his sectarian tattoos at the crowd to wind people up, then the moment anyone reacts he’s crying in the referees ear.

👎👎

Be it England or back home, it's the same regal head of state and the same central government in Westminster. The point you are making is so flawed it is risible.

It's not remotely flawed at all... The specifics of the currency and the head of state are irrelevant !! The overriding point is that he's happy to live and earn his living here in England...

And What exactly is your point? beyond a bit of over-zealous pedantry ?

Cor blimey, the fallibility of your argument is increasing by the minute! Keep at it lad!

I've already made my point.

So, someone who disagrees with your logic is a pedant? Hmm, I guess so then. You're always right. 😶

Let's just deal with the FACTS and not worry about our careers in football politics.

It is James McLean who has previous for turning his back on the national anthem etc, etc.

It was James McLean who chose to make public the history lesson he gave his kids with balaclavas.

There is no sectarian problem at Blackpool Football Club.

Nor at any other English Football Club for that matter. Fact is that English Fans aren’t going to take kindly to a player who thinks it’s funny to put that Balaclava shit on his SM, antagonise people with his sectarian tattoos and disrespect our culture etc..

The bloke is an absolute Dick!

I disagreed with the chanting by our fans and still do, but he’s the Crux of the problem 👎

And to add to the list of B/pool misbehaviours this week are :

1. Flare(s) on the pitch
2. Smashing up the visitors coach

There might be more but I get slated for pointing out criminal behaviour !

This is what I don't get. People are still downplaying it when it's an ongoing problem leading our club into more and more punishment. It's like people have amnesia of all the things that have gone on. The FA certainly don't forget these things and will punish us more and more.

All self-inflicted damage and so unnecessary.

Do u know it was Blackpool fans who smashed the coach window? Or are u guessing
Same as you - was it a ‘freak stone of nature’ chip that caused it from the rear tyre ? Probably not.

However there was an account of the incident by someone on the coach (& family)

I suspect the vast majority of us are rather disappointed with that person’s outlook on the welfare of visitors and also with the lack of justice to people who cause criminal damage and are seemingly immune to the laws of the land

Once again it’ll be the Club, supporters and the vast majority of non idiots that suffer

What’s your outlook on it Leyland - is it remotely similar to mine or was it just ‘stuff’ and entirely justified and understandable

I wasn’t sure if it was just a load of local kids and nothing to do with the football
