Working in the industry I know the answers, but to throw another one is a 9 gallon container is a f@@@@n but was is a half of that called? (4.5 gallons)?

2. What is the approximate weight of an empty 18-gallon wooden barrel in KGs? (38.3 Kg when empty, 121.0 Kg when full)

3. What is the weight of a full 22-gallon aluminium container in KGs? (16.4 Kg when empty, 118.2 kg when full)

4, What name is given to a 9-gallon container? ( a Firkin and for the answer to half a firkin it is a Pin or a Polypin if plastic).

5. What do the initials A.B.V. stand for? (Alcohol By Volume)

6. In the first world war, where were the public houses nationalised? ( Cumbria due to weapons factories being in the area and the danger of workers turning up drunk).

7. What do the letters I.P.A stand for? (India Pale Ale)

8. What was Watneys Brewery famous for in the 1960s? ( Has to be red Barrel, yuk)

Sorry I missed the question about a noggin. from memory, a noggin is another name for a gill and as there are four gills to a pint, there are four noggins to a pint. the answer therfore is one quarter of a pint.
