I've been here since I retired in 2016 ,not Like Benidorm But nice for cycling/walking/golf ,also many restaurants and bars (food for all tastes),also several live music Bars ,as well as the most amazing views from the pueblo ,god bus routes along the the coast linking the three resorts of Mojácar/garrucha(very Spanish), & Vera Playa ,1 Hour from Almería Airport ,(I just wonder has anyone on this board tried this area (most seem to do the city breaks ),also it's very cheap to eat & drink here (13euros will get you a three course meal )should I get a job with the local tourist board😀😀😀👍.

My parents had a house in the Pueblo between 1981-2000. Its now a Pizza Restaurant called Napoli. Although wasn't too bothered about using the place when I was younger it's growing on me as I get older and we visit regularly

About 4 or 5 years ago I was tempted to buy a 2 bed apartment that had a shared pool and parking for €60,000 which was circa £45,000 at the time. A pal of mine is from the area and when I asked him about it he said it was cheap because the infrastructure was poor, no supermercados or restaurantes for miles around.

I just dropped my interest but would still like to visit the area to see if there are some property opportunities in an area closer to the amenities and tapas bars & cevezarias. Just a shame too that Blackpool Airport stopped operating holiday flights just after they announced they would be flying to Almeria.

We visit this area 2 to 3 times a year. It's a great place to chill out and relax. Lots of Spanish food and bars.

Been there a couple of times. We stayed at El Pueblito de Alfaix, which is a Holiday Property Bond site where discerning travellers like me and Blood stay.
The other place I've stayed is Roquetas de Mar for the less discerning.

Have holidayed in Mazzaron near Murcia , that's fairly close , I think . Also , last September watched Almeria win 1-0 away to Malaga at La Roseleda , if that counts for anything!

Stayed in Agua Amarga a few times. Eat out in the pueblo a few times. Prefer inland Spain in Andalucia tbh.

Yes i live in Spain, there is an Overseas Iceland in inland Vera i worked there sorting out some problems for the owner.

One of my wife's Aunties had a property in Spain which she used regularly, and it was left in her will to my wife. However, the Spanish Govt would not accept the legality of an English Will and because she didn't have a Spanish will, confiscated it. Beware anyone who has the same sort of property.

I worked for them for 7 years then changed employment to a Spanish meat wholesaler in Malaga. I opened and ran the butchers for them i cannot be bullied. Its normally down to the store manager i got on well with the MD and the owner so had no problems. Sorry to hear the wife had problems. me and the wife may have a look in your area next year.
