Moon landings?

NASA wants us to believe that 50 years ago using computers with less scope that today's I Phones they sent Men to land on the Moon and bring them back when now they can't even launch on time an unmanned rocket to the moon. Watch Capricorn One film with Elliot Gould with a possible interesting explanation?

The Moon is made of Green cheese so how could they have landed safely. With all those thruster jets it would have melted.☺️

Over 100,000 working on the Apollo programme. What was in the NDA that they've all kept the secret for 50 years and more?

Russia and China (amongst others) tracked them all the way there and back again and the landing site is visible to anyone with a decent telescope, the Japanese sent a probe to the Apollo 15 landing site and the images matched NASA's perfectly, we can bounce lasers off the mirrors we left on the moon's surface, the moon rocks have been verified as being from the moon by countless independent countries etc etc...

Apart from that though WHERE'S THE EVIDENCE!?!?!?!?!?!?

Spot on Wiz…..some idiots like to jizz themselves over conspiracy theories, it really gets them off….halfwits
Why is it that if you disagree with someone else you have to resort to insults (Half-Wit) rather than debate. Watch the movie its very interesting and only a handfull of people need to be in on the secret not 100,000!! The russians never went neither did the Americans for FIFTY YEARS>

The Russians desperately tried with two separate programs but after Apollo 8 they gave up, they were skint, they did send an unmanned mission but it crashed on the surface.

Before that they kept blowing up anyway because they didn't have the Nazi scientists that the US had.

Ah yes the first moon landing 50 year ago. A project that famously worked the first time they tried it. What was the name of that mission again? The name escapes me.

The key difference is that 50 years ago they were willing to accept a 50% chance of everyone being killed in the attempt.

I love that film but I still believe it happened in 1969. I think if it was made up at the time it would have come out by now.

Yep, it's well documented that NASA gave the Apollo 8 astronauts a 50% chance of survival.

They also had no idea that the Eagle would be able to take off from the moon in 1969, they just went with best guess, so much so that Nixon recorded a tribute to be played if they got stranded.
.

It's health and safety gone mad these days.. Probably EU bureaucracy to blame

I am not saying it DIDN'T happen but there are some strange things that do look like the Capricorn One film. Can't wait to see what happens over the next few years with the new attempts which will prove it one way or the other.

Silly cunts ruined it the moment the golf clubs came out. Should've had a kickabout instead.

It’s because I have a sense of humour and a bit of mischief in me. If you can’t work that out easily by yourself then you ARE a halfwit …..not much more I can say.

IF further than that you actually buy into this Moon landing conspiracy then….

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Anyone else heard the theory about ‘The Shining’ claiming that Kubrick intended it to be about the moon landing conspiracy?

They didn't go with 'best guess,' they went with the maths.

Apparently not too far into the future, we will be ruled by apes. Saw it in a documentary where astronauts went into deep space then came back to a different order.

The interesting thing immediately after WW2 the US were very quick to ensure the bad people that were behind the Nazi V1 rockets did not fall into the Russians hands. They should have faced the death penalty but instead were given new lives in the US. It was German engineering like you know the ones that make the best cars in the world that got them there. Even today their cars and motor industry Tesla aside is back in the 90s.

All true apart from Germans making the best cars, unless you like engines with all the ancillaries made from brittle plastic.

That is done to reduce weight and ultimately emissions. It’s unfortunate but the plastic parts on the whole are cheap to replace.

They are all at it to some extent. Anyway IC engines on the way out now. Thanks to a certain school girl and her puppet masters

I would think that, because of the current problems, the pilot might be getting 'cold feet' right now. 😟

IC is inherently crap anyway, too complicated, too unreliable, too polluting, we really shouldn't be building engines these days who's entire function depends on a cheap thin gasket between the top and bottom end.

Hydrogen is the long term solution once we have the infrastructure. EV is an expensive band aid.

Another caveat is I think some believe that it was actually Kubrick himself that helped with the faking! Regardless of how ridiculous the idea of the moon landing being a fake is, the references in The Shining seem more than just coincidence.

There aren't any references though except Danny's jumper, which isn't exactly a rare sight for mid 70s America. All the rest are just typical tacked on confirmation bias conspiracy crap, like the twins must be a reference to Gemini or the carpet looks a bit like the Saturn launch site from above.

Not just the Americans who got involved with German engineering/science post WW2. The revival of Volkswagen at Wolfsburg was largely attributed to the efforts of a British army officer, Major Ivan Hirst.

I remember one point being that Kubrick changed the room number from the novel to the distance to the moon in (hundreds of thousands of) miles, but having just looked it up now the number in the film is Room 237 and the distance to the moon is closer to 239,000 so yeah maybe the connections are more flimsy than I remember. 😅

This is a good example of these kinds of conspiracy theories. There are endless amounts of numbers that could point to the moon landing. The year. The date. The day of the year. The amount of miles, crew members, rockets attatched, days in orbit. Linking one number of significance from anything to one number of significance of the dozens you could choose from the moon landings is easy. Especially when a) it's incorrect in the first placr as you pointed out b) you can manipulate the numbers by showing them backwards, adding them together or subtracting them

If you multiply Jack Nicholson’s birthday (22041937) by the distance to the moon in Km (384,400), and then by pi (globally acknowledged to be the basis of all alien languages) you get 611151211449147.
Convert this to letters, using the simple A=1 code and it spells FAKE LANDING*

* probably.

He had then and still have amazing Engineers. It’s just they had a reason to develop and use technology useful to America. Thankfully the
Soviets did not get to them first. They were fortunate to escape the rope. Finished up with good lives.

Plus Paul McCartney has been dead since 1968.

The clues are there on the Abbey Road album.

And he hasn't written a decent tune since.
