More delusion in Sunderland?

What gets me about clubs like Sunderland is that they're willing to take enormous financial risks by paying massive (for league one) wages and transfer fees, but when it comes to managers they never take risks. Appointing Critchley was a risk having never been a manager before, and it's paid off for us and then some. How about they scour the top six academies and find their own Neil Critchley - it's a risk but a much cheaper one.

The thread is hilarious -
Why would any up and coming ambitious manager/coach want to take on the poisoned chalice that is Sunderland AFC, we’re cursed, how low can we go?

People need to get realistic and accept that no manager with any semblance of reputation will want to come to this club any time soon. We finish managers off ffs.

No. We are just an average league 1 club nowadays. Complete myth we are big club especially these days

We couldn’t attract flies and we’re a stinking pile of shite
😂😂😂😂

The names mentioned in that thread are Critchley and Lampard. They may be more delusional than the Knobbers

Still - Grayson is available
If they were Championship and not a basket case then yes maybe.
Why don’t they give an exciting Div 2 or even 1 manager a go? Or as you say grab United or City’s academy head.
They’ve both got a decent conveyor belt of great kids coming through who’d join Sunderland as maybe limited chances in the Prem.

If there are more deluded fans in the football league than Sunderland I've not heard of em and that includes the Nobbers.
I only read the first page cause my sides were hurting with laughing🤣

He'd obviously come to the SoL bigger club and massive support.

You thick Mackem bastards, Critch doesn't like it in league 1 that's why he got us up . Why would he go to a club where the supporters turn on the team as soon as they concede a corner.

You're talking about wanting the bloke who has just beaten Pep Guardiola to the best manager in the north west award, and you honestly think he'd even consider going to Blunderland 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

6th in the table with games in hand on the Top two - I think they’re in a decent position and should maybe back their manager rather than the endless circle of wanting him sacked!

No, 44 replies. Within which 3 people said anything like they should go for Critch. Pretty bloody conclusive, hardly any delusion. People make shit up to suit their own preconceptions.

More than 3 people and far less than the 44 replies you quote said they'd have no chance. Count better.

Was it the original idea of that bloke who used to analyse the performance from his bedroom wearing a woolly hat and S'land shirt?
