Morgan today

I’m not sure, didn’t stand out for me. Would like a bit more urgency from him, thought he just looked a bit laboured at times.
But hey, it’s one match in.
I think if you watch the game on TTV when it comes up you will see he was involved in so much and found our player and he was tenacious and strong in the tackle, it was his tenacity that led to the first goal and his set pieces were really good. He looked a lot better than Carey or Dougall.

I was impressed with him today was tidy on the ball but was also willing to put a tackle in. Also looks like we’ve finally got someone who can take set pieces.

Always found space. Was instrumental in us going 2 up. Then we stopped giving him the ball in 2nd half, until the subs came on 🤔

Didn’t watch S’land today but I wish he’d been here in Tangerine. He was the pick of our loans last year AND got better with every game! He put enough effort into every appearance that I kidded myself that he wanted to come here permanently,
Him and Shane eh? Let the thought sink in.

What?!

Do you mean Rogers at Middlesbro?

A good first half, should have passed to Lavery though for what could have been his hat trick.Lost his way a bit in the second half mind you he wasn't the only one.

He is a very good passer of the ball, with decent vision . The more the team play together the more they will gel and build a better understanding and hopefully remain at the top of the table all season .

Pretty impressed saying it was his first league game for us, a bit like the first result for Critch the first game of the season in our new division.
Too Early To Call, Too Early To Condem 🚌🧡

Only did OK for me. Some good work but also sloppy at times. I like the fact he always shows for the ball, his delivery is good but as with so many players he does need to learn when to pass and when to shoot. On another day not squaring to Lavery could cost us.

Helped to make the first goal. But should have passed to Lavery, was involved in the mix up with Eki,and lost the ball that led to their only serious shot at goal ,needs to sharpen up

I think if you look at @Insider's stats from yesterday, Morgan was a worthy Top 3 best performance candidate IMHO
Norburn shoukd be higher than Morgan but our sttacking threat came principally from those 3 - Lavery Norburn and Morgan. We need more from the wing backs, Carey, and Beesley/Joseph.

I was actually really impressed with Morgan other than him not squaring that shot he had to Beesley/Lavery instead.

I thought he made a real nuisance of himself in the first half, bit of a pest mentality which was good. They all kind of switched off in the 2nd half until the subs so not judging too much on that. Match fitness won't be there fully just yet either. Positive signs

I thought Morgan was terrific, and I feel like he's gone under the radar in this window with the signing of Norburn, Joseph and Pennington. He gives us something fresh in midfield and played some great balls through midfield. I can see him becoming an integral member of the team this season, looked class.

I think Burton didnt have to adjust significantly after half time to more or less nullify us tbh. Lavery Norburn and Morgan were our players doing the good stuff first half. Tightened up on them. We needed more from the wing backs, Beesley and Carey. Better teams will have us sussed from the first kick off methinks. Although I am sure we will improve in those 4 positions. Early days.
