Morgan

To be honest he had a run of a few games where he looked really good but then has had a run where he’s looked pretty average again. Sounds like he’s got a knock but he’s probably just behind Norburn and Byers. Not sure the Hamilton comparison is fair considering they’re completely different positions

That was the review from Charlton fans, that he never seemed to reach his potential - but would show random signs for a spell of games of doing so.

Yes, you're absolutely right. It is an unfair comparison to make, especially as you couldn't even begin to class CJ as a 'footballer'.
 
There’s no doubt Byers has much more quality and we look a better team with him in it. Morgan was awful when he came on Tuesday, granted just like the rest of the team. But off the bench Carey is a better option if you’re wanting to change a game anyway.
 
This is entirely where is doesn't seem fair... the likes of connolly (i know yesterday it wasn't) and CJ are constantly in squad as subs or starting whilst others... Morgan... gabs..lyons.. casey just disappear. Now its time for virtue to join the 'mates' club... nothing against these lads but just doesn't seem right.

Interesting against pompey.... unless hit with Injures no way should connolly or virtue be in squad and CJ should be on the bench (as yesterday offered nowt.. again)... sadly I can't see this happening...🤔

Stinks of keeping senior pros happy at the expense of better younger players on the bench.

Norburn is too negative and Byers too soft. Morgan should be starting every game in my humble opinion.
