I see that US private equity group Fortress Investment Group are going to takeover Morrisons in a deal worth 6.3 billion pounds, and before anyone asks what has that got to do with football - its simply something that happens with big business, whether its a supermarket or a football club.
Many people complain and moan about multi million pound entities making profits from its customers to line the pockets of shareholders, but Morrisons is a community based food retailer that people rely on to eat and is of core use and interest to said community.
I dont see campaigns to address this particular asset of community value, but it does seem that anything that can be bought and sold will be despite of the effects on others.
