Most annoying new football terminology

Just once, I’d love to hear a co-pundit say “What do you mean by transitions, Alex?”
I bet she’d go to pieces.
She's a woman.
You're not allowed to say anything derogatory (i.e tell the truth) about her where football is concerned. 😉

It’s getting like American Football with all these terminologies and stoppages. The next generation of kids won’t be interested. I know it bores me more and more each season. Thankfully the lower leagues have stayed clear from it all but then you have to deal with the parachute payments and reduced level of competition.

Football today is a shadow on what it used to be.

I wonder how many English ex internationals are doing the punditry in Argentina, France and the Ivory Coast ?

Yet right here on the BBC we've Drogba, Zabaletta and some French woman I've never heard of 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you're going to tick the boxes Beeb have a Moroccan or Belgian on!!🤷

He felt contact and was entitled to go down - fuck right off.
Like the Saudi penalty yesterday. Pat Nevin said from 7 angles it wasn't a penalty, but the 8th showed slight contact, and that was the one VAR showed the ref.

If you're going to use it, give all angles to the ref so he can make a decision in context. The editing by the VAR assistant forced his hand.

A very physical side.

Brutal is the word you're looking for.

And specifically tonight, a name for you. Pronounced Co Are Tes.

Any relation to Ralph Coates, former Burnley and Spurs man?

He’s trying to draw the ball or Fade it. Andy bloody Townsend.
Has to be the worst pundit and that’s saying something.

"Go down in football folklore"

"Galvanise the team"

Players like Bale saying "Yeah no" all the time when interviewed and also "like I said before" when they haven't said it before!

I'm still pissed off with calling centre backs centre halfs/halves, whichever bollox they chose it to be these days! Bollox to all the new shit!

I get that outside right/left is now a right/left winger and inside right/left is referred to as a Number ten due to the game changing but a Centre back is still, and always will be a centre back not a ** centre half! BACK/HALF/FORWARD!... Defender/Midfielder/Forward... It's not rocket science!

It's more annoying than the Yanks calling the game SOCCER!
