I knew we had a few clueless fickle fans but I was wrong we have loads .Memories of goldfish and opinions seem to be judged on the latest game only .Yes the Rotherham game was poor but yesterday was ok we played some good football at times and other than a spell in the second half we were the better team .I was happy at half time and thought we would go on to win it but wasn't to be .Most home teams however poor are always going to have a spell in games . 2 games ago people were starting to warm to Appleton and we're enjoying the football .Where would we have been last season without bowler I wonder ? The goldfish seem to have forgotten we lost our best player who won us games on his own
 
I don't know why muppets is a derogatory term, I think they're great.

As regards the football, we're only 10 games in, give the poor bloke some time before condemning him.

If we won every game that too would become boring. Even moneybags City lose now & then. I wish people weren’t so quick to criticise. Be disappointed yes but it’s not the end of the world.
 
Appleton does need time but it’s not been great has it? Too many changes at once in my opinion, all we needed from last year was 4 players with championship experience two defenders, CM and a striker (need a big lump who can bully defenders). Let’s see by Christmas we will either be lower half of the table or just above Coventry at the bottom.

The only trouble is Championship quality footballers are not cheap and are in demand. Huddersfield paid 2M+ for Jack Rudoni from AFC Wimbledon and we sold Bowler for 4M+. League 1 Brannagan 1.2M and he turned us down. I do agree about replacing Keogh and adding another experienced centre midfielder but it's always a risk with older players whether they still have the legs. I thought there was definite signs of improvement on Saturday and Appleton needs time to get the team to gel.
 
Norwich next time out, it could be cricket score. But you never know. Struggling to find many positive at the moment. Need Stewart back and See how Beesley does. Yates is doing ok with minimal service.

I think the problem with Appleton is he is only one game away from a crisis and why it was always a bad appointment by the board.

As for the changes maybe he got it wrong but it isnt always going to work . How many times recently have we lorded him for changes he has made that have worked ? we have even had loads of posts claiming he is a brilliant tactician and how much better he is than critch . How often do our fans have a meltdown after a couple of poor games or think we are going to finish top after a few wins though ? its always been the same on here
 
What changes have worked? We are playing terrible except for the performances of Corbeanu. Preferred Critch definitely, levels above Appleton.

I’ve not lauded him at all. We have a very low number of points, and the Gott all isn’t great. We look like we are going to concede every game, and if it wasn’t for a faulty hawk eye decision we would be 2 points worse off.
