Alan Ball scored for us, Bobby Tambling won it for Chelsea.
Even though we lost, I've never had a more memorable New Year's Day and our national success six months later paled into insignificance when compared to the magical atmosphere and excitement a five year-old boy experienced on his first visit to Bloomfield Road.

I'd say 55. We were living in South London & my dad took me to Palace, Charlton & Millwall when Pool visited the smoke from around 67/68. Moved back to the gold coast 1970 & went regularly.
