Yes we lost, but we competed for 75% of the game and I left the game feeling that we could easily have got something . If Corbeanu or Jerrys shots had gone in, if King Kenny had the legs to run further and shoot or if Jerrys squared pass to Gary Goals got through.......... Positives for me were 1. Callum Wright - good passer, good movement across the midfield and looks skilful 2. Big Marv and Thorniley were solid . 3 Chris Maxwell shot saved well but was easily beaten for the goal 4. We actually seemed to have a midfield in place to compete in midfield , with Wright, Dougall and Patino [ though Patino lost the ball easily a couple of times, he does pass the ball well otherwise]. 5. When Madine came on we had a presence in the air, up front . Negatives 1. Jerry Yates got little service - he had a great shot saved near the end but though Corbeanu beats players and Poveda threatened they didnt feed Jerry at all . Jerry Yates made lots of runs but the ball doesnt get to him . 2. I love Jordan Gabriels energy, physicality and speed but that first half tackle was rash - he could have been red carded 3. The howler for their goal was symptomatic of Dom Thompsons poor distribution on the day, he has great energy and tried to make amends but the howler was the difference . I am more hopeful after the performance overall though , Norwich only just won and we could have got something.
