Appleton was only 7 months into a 4 year contract. How much compensation do we think was agreed? I imagine substantial, so i hope money that was set for potential transfers has not been ploughed into his compo!

Clauses apparently, so not as much.

I really wouldn't worry about that, Sadler has learnt a valuable lesson, one that will have cost him a pretty penny.
 
I'd be shocked if there were no breaks written into the contract. I doubt it would be any more than 1 year to pay up. When you consider the compo received for critch then not fortunes at all.
 
Whatever it’s cost to sack him it’ll be a lot less than what the club would stand to lose given we were only heading in one direction.

Throw in a few thousand extra bums on seats at the next couple of matches and the cost is negligible.

Frankly I’d prefer Appleton gone than a £2 million midfielder.

Who cares how much we have to pay out we got paid for Critchley leaving it's all swings and roundabouts.

We was supposed to have a model where you bring in a head coach(not manager) and he then works with the players at his disposal and has some input what's needed in certain positions in recruitment that went tits up when we appointed Appleton most players went backwards under him.
