NASA Asteroid

NASA will shortly crash their probe into an asteroid in the next few hours.

For those of a sensitive nature, you might want to stock up on Germoloids or Anusol.

If only the dinosaurs had thought of this. Dumb lizards were too busy auditioning for Jurassic Park to stop the big rock hurtling towards us

It's sod all to do with this asteroid. It's an early experiment to show that we can guide an object onto something in space, then to see if that alters its trajectory.

What a load of bollocks. It's like chucking a grain of sand at a football
But you only need to alter the trajectory by a fraction over a longer distance.

So actually just sending a spacecraft along side an asteroid is a potential way to steer one off course enough.
