In a way that Luton are a similar size club to us whilst both Stoke and Southampton have delusions of grandeur

Think it would be a good appointment for them, tbh. They've spent some money, have a pretty good squad, are underachieving - think the conditions and dynamic are somewhat made for him to come in and give them a kick up the arse. Polar opposite to the dour Appleton, too.
Seems to have done well when expectations/pressure isn't inflated, like at Southampton.

I didn't know Jones used to manage Charlton's youth and the rumours seem to be gathering pace, perhaps there is something in this one! Still feels like a longshot for me but fair play if Charlton pull it off, it's some upgrade on Appleton.Now 1/2 fav.
