National League

Just had a look through Darlo's squad they have 3 players with Blackpool connections Myles Boney, Tony McMahon and Jarrett Rivers. Rivers apparently played 10 games for us in 2015.
He had a paper round in his Mums shop before he signed for us

Few know (you obviously do because you’ve already mentioned it) Fylde actually wanted to continue with last season (until the league got suspended) they had games it hand and were on a decent run of results, we’ll never know for sure but they could well have survived the drop last season had they played out their remaining games.

Roll on to this season there is absolutely nothing wrong in Fylde wanting to finish the season I’am sure the likes of Gloucester, Chester, Kidderminster etc all wish to do the same the teams against it are those down the bottom coincidence?
Chester now opted to suspend all football activities from today until result of NL vote is known.

Don't get grass roots clubs mixed up with the EPL. Nobody thinks they should get financial help, but small clubs are like any other struggling business in the entertainment and sports sector.
The small clubs were suffering because of TV exposure-as indeed were/are lower league clubs,as the armchair fan has developed into a stay at home to watch it culture.
Were the pyramid as it were left unblemished in this respect then folk might go and start watching the local sides, where for instance AFC Blackpool enjoyed great support during the O's tenure.

I think that an industry that rakes in billions should be held accountable for what goes on within its lower reaches, indeed with retail there is talk of taxing Amazon etc to compensate for the losses with small retailers.

I think there was something called 'Big Society' some years back and thats where we need to go-a helping hand from those who can afford it.

That would be absolutely right if English football was a single entity, but the EPL does not consider itself responsible for EFL clubs or lower leagues. In fact, there's very little similarity between the Premier League and any other English league. So, there is no chance in hell of the top division bailing out lower leagues. As you know, their offer to inject funding carried with it many obligations for the grass root clubs. In the end, they might have to sell their souls to survive.

Aye but look at it from the government's point of view where the country is going trillions into debt, and where top tier players haven't been financially affected. Why should tax payers hard earned be spent when the top of the tree continues to thrive and where some PL clubs have actually applied for furlough payments?

Its madness and so off the scale to be believable, and similar in some respects to what the entertainment industry were doing with their off shore tax avoidance schemes (a bit deep but you get my point)
