I read it was due to the fact the council can't guarantee the lease for more than 10 years. Seems ridiculous to be honest.

After they finished the season with 5 games in 9 days to get in the play offs.

But Peps superstars can’t play Wednesday/Saturday.

Can’t imagine Gatesheads current council members having a good day at the next local elections.

Council have issued a statement saying offered a 10 year lease with a break clause (which is pretty standard practice).
