Naughty Nigel

I’m not getting excited at all… I’m just highlighting hypocrisy 👍
Well, most on YT do that sort of title. You have to, to draw people in.

"Nigel says some stuff and then some more stuff" isn't as appealing.

The point was not about that, it was his update and response given we discussed the video.

Just like broadcasters always hype things up - hype up their shows to grab peoples attention (well apart from the BBC and more mainstream Broadcasters, who tend to be a bit more balanced and responsible)... You're so unbelievably biased to the point of being brainwashed JJ.

Your love for the bbc is a bit worrying and says a lot and your complete denial of the bias they can show is predicable.

There's no one brainwashed here, only someone willing to analyse things and common sense often leads to people being on the right these days, even if they aren't, because there's so much mad stuff about and crazy woke agendas.

I don't love the BBC ... And I've no problem with criticising them when it is merited... By contrast, you will justify the same type of broadcaster behaviour that you criticise, based on nothing more than 100% cast iron, good old British bias.

Whether it's a Presenter finding themselves in bother, the over-zealous use of hyperbole to promote a programme or basic broadcasting standards you literally cannot bring yourself to offer up the slightest bit of balance whatsoever.

How anyone can support GB News, who have no problem continuing to broadcast material from someone facing numerous sex related charges, while being funded by overseas owners who pay not a penny in tax in this country, is beyond the point of parody when they question the BBC's broadcasting standards.

Doesn't seem that way.

Of course I can, I watch many things but common sense is severely lacking in many places. I don't really care what some out of touch people on here think, I know that the majority of normal people agree about much of the issues in the real world.

As long as you take it for what it is its fine. It doesn't have a charter, it speaks normal language and has people with opinions, some I agree with some I disagree.

That and talk TV and maybe a few other channels are much needed in todays mad world, to add a bit common sense. Think of it like this, of we didn't live in such a silly world, there would be no appeal for it and no need.

Where are you getting overseas ownership? I thought it was that British guy with the hedgefund...

Well common sense seems to be lacking in your approach to criticising other broadcasters for doing the same things that you refuse to criticise in other broadcasters. It's double standards... Something is either right or wrong (simple as that).... If you can't acknowledge it as being wrong and call it out when it comes from a broadcaster you like, then you've got zero credibility when you try to call it out for a broadcaster you don't like.

I do take it for what it is. A mouthpiece for culture wars deliberately trying to destroy public broadcasting in this country for the benefit of non-doms coining it in without contributing at all to this country, and denigrating those who are here.

It's not common sense, it's prejudiced, completely biased and aimed at the likes of Laurence Fox's acolytes. You criticise the Beeb for a lack of balance. Where's the balance on these channels? A complete echo chamber of confirmation bias.

Of course broadcasters have agendas, the bbc has a charter and can be fair but is also open to bias at times. But it forces people to pay and that makes the scrutiny it receives even higher.

I happen to think it would, in a way, be a shame of it went as it is a British institution and I do pay for it.

What am I calling out here? Not a headline still?

Deary me...

Round and round and round we go where we stop nobody knows 😂

You're very politically biased on here, always criticising the tories to excessive levels, I'll call things as I see it, I've no love for them, but I'm really not bothered about going after them, or labour, even though they are a joke to what they used to stand for.

I doubt every much if you've ever actually watched gb news beyond a short clip. There's good people to watch and not as good, they have all specs of different guests and many from the left.

So is it not foreign owned like you claimed since you didn't follow up?

Non dom. Not a penny paid in tax in this country with a vested interest in bringing down the Beeb as another major shareholder is The Sun.

One thing this thread has done, is highlight what many of the left said wasnt happening at all, cancel culture certainly exists.

Trigger warning, Banks on banks and the 'hoax'

I notice the CEO of gb news is Angelos Frangopulous, wasn’t he the guy who used to bring his shopping into the studio on Shooting Stars?

Some good humour there yes, it was on the other thread and nowt to do with this thread, maybe that's why it wasn't posted here?
Awwww, you get to post shite from that channel all the time and as soon I post one I get told off.

There were a few posts about GB News above, next to the ones with you waffling about the BBC being left leaning. So I thought I'd post some of their 'journalism'.

To be honest, I struggle to keep up wading through the bollocks that comes through your keyboard 😉

It's not relevant to the thread is why I don't post it, was what I said.

It's a bit of fun for to start a show, lighten up. Most found it funny and accepted it for what it was.

Farage was offered accounts and turned them down to play the victim.

He wasn't offered his business account back until recently, after much shaming and a lawsuit. The document is there for all to see.
He was offered Nat West accounts, like the hoi polloi have. Man of the people my arse.

Basic, not business.

Says who? He said he'd been offered no accounts at all, de-banked.

So Oh, Come On yourself.
Are we really still arguing the reported facts 527 posts in?

Damn, mad world.

He was turned down by 9 or so other banks, he was offered a basic natwest account that wasn't suitable at the eleventh hour before going live with the announcement.
