Then look no further than The Producers, a 1967 movie starring Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel. I remember watching it when I was about 13 and found it hilarious at the time and hadn’t watched it since. It is now on BBC I Player and I watched it last night with Mrs Sub and it was even funnier than I remember it. Lots of laugh out loud moments and a good smattering of political incorrectness. If you haven’t seen it I would urge you to watch it and let me know what you think. It was remade in 2005 but nowhere near as good. Watch the original.
 
Saw it at the Palace in Manchester .. was a superb production until Peter Kay came on and turned it in to a one man show!
 
Springtime for Hitler is a hilarious number, "Reineland's a fineland once more.... watch out Europe, we're going on tour!" 🤣

I actually liked both the old version and the remake.
