Need to review recruitment, fitness (and pitch watering)

I think it has been mentioned on other threads, so apologies if I'm repeating anything.

However, I think a big reset is needed over the summer, and to me, as well as the obvious need to sort out a permanent manager, I think we should also do a review of 3 or 4 key areas.

1. Recruitment - Stop gambling on crocks. I have listed below a selection of our squad and how many starts they have made
Kevin Stewart 0
Goode 2
Bridcutt 2
Trybull 3
Keshi Anderson 5
Beesley 5
Garbutt 8
Rhys Williams 13
Madine 23
Gabriel 14
Thomson 21
Madine 23
Husband 24
Ekpiteta 24
Thornley 24

That's 14 players, mostly high earners (for us) who have effectively missed at least half a season. You could call it unlucky but to me it links to ......

2. Fitness Training - many of the injuries of the above have been muscle injuries. Is this caused by training techniques and/or what risk profiling and spotting is done on all the players? Also why does it take so long to recover? Thornley had concussion then missed 6 games. Ekpiteta went off with a slight strain in November and was out for 3 months, Keshi took ages to get back - how hungry are the players?

3. General training.- Do we practice free kicks and corners - So many times this year we have floated aimless free kicks and corners into the box, with no pace on them. What do they qork on in training week after week.

4. Finally, a little bugbear of mine. The over-watering of the pitch before the game (na doften at half time. We have had one of the wettest winters on record and we water the pitch to near flooded status. I have never seen a team slip so much as ours has, and once or twice it has caused (another) muscle injury.

Anyway onwards and upwards - positives for next year....it will be easier to park nearer the ground, and the queue for pies will be shorter.

Expensive pies.
