Neil Critchley 'sounded out'

In fairness we were probably better than bang average with Ekpiteta, Yates, Madine, Sims, Ballard etc But yeah I take your point he got a good tune out of them.
Keshi too and bizarre to think but a lethal CJ Hamilton 😳

So who was behind that squad recruitment?

I know he got us promotion and kept us in the championship, but I didn’t see many games I enjoyed, we played it around the back four for a few minutes, then back to Maxwell just as their forwards were pressing, and he hoofed it forward. I think he was just lucky and his luck ran out.

I don't think this is going to happen. That is of course assuming the board have learnt anything from their previous mistakes, which is definitely not a given. It needs to be a clean slate to unify the fan base. Critchley definitely wouldn't achieve this. Maybe give him an interview though to lead him on and then tell him to do one!

Who would turn down a job that tripled their salary ? Plenty of people.who post on this Forum it seems.

Taking aside how good Critchley was for us and how he left in a disgraceful manner, I quite simply don't want the new manager to divide our fan base. Now I get that whoever is chosen will always attract some who aren't convinced but I feel it is critical we appoint someone who the vast majority of supporters are 100% behind. When supporters, manager and players are all pulling in the right direction, anything can happen. Sadler has made mistakes going back for the likes of Grayson and Appleton, I hope he's learnt for those.

fans are fickle though. One win in charge and everyone loves them again..

We weren't fickle with Appleton, the majority didn't want him and that rarely changed. I think you miss my point though, results will always dictate how a manager does but I'm talking about Day 1, we want a new manager who the vast majority are behind. Ultimately a large part will be down to Sadler, he's going to have to dig deep to fill the void left by relegation and also stump up a budget to rebuild our squad.

No way he’s a really bad football manager as shown by his last two stints he only did well with us because we was on a crest of a wave if we were to go for an ex manager I’d go for Holloway rosineir would of done well for us I just hope the decision isn’t down to Ben
