Interesting list of the top 20 net transfer spend clubs in the world over the last decade. United and Chelsea out in front. West Ham Everton Palace and Bournemouth all above Real Madrid and Forest just behind them. Al Hilal above Madrid and just behind Liverpool. Money makes the world go round. PSG the only non English club in the top 6.

So United have spunked over £1bn (net) over 10 years on transfer fees and won 0 cha.pions league titles. Real have spent less than £300m and won it five times.
Apart from the obscenity of the numbers there are three things to learn from that;
1- sell for high fees as well as paying them.
2 - buy the right players
3 - employ better coaches, not just the big names.
