Yep, I got caught up in a scuffle or two outside Bramall Lane in 81 when we lost 3-1 (Bob Hatton scored against us). I'd cadged a lift in a van with a group of lads. As we reached the ground, the lads started chanting at the Blades fans. The driver told them to shut it because they'd know where we were from. One of the lads helpfully reminded him that "Blackpool Van Hire" was printed across the side of the van.
No real problems since then personally, until Heckingbottom's comments whicn might help make the return fixture a bit feisty?

He said Fotheringham would never have acted as he did if Shayne Lavery hadn't had hold of shirt. Sounds like a load of blame shifting bollocks to me, or a manager trying to protect his job after a bad run of results.

I remember the 81 away game as being a bit rough getting to the ground but I mostly remember the year later in the Home game getting wrongly arrested on Lytham Rd and spending all weekend in a cell
