Never thought I would post this...... but every credit to the Man Utd fans

It’s about time shit owners were forced out of our clubs. Now supporters of a big club have shown their feelings then maybe the weak authorities will pull their fingers out of their proverbials 👊👊👊👍🏼
Seems like the FSA have launched the storm troopers in advance of the fans led review 👍 lol.

Mentioned on other threads hopefully this is the first shot in the war against franchise imposters! More big club fans need to take up the Utd fans baton!

Can’t say I support anyone who dishes out violence no matter what the cause.
Yes I know it was only a minority it always is who spoil it for the vast majority but two police officers were injured this afternoon hit by flying missiles is just not on I’am afraid, hundreds of bottles and bricks were thrown at the Police it could have been much worse. 👎

Not really Mex as I'm sure they we will be trying to take credit for it over the next couple of weeks
I’m pretty sure there’s no connection between the FSA and the ground roots activism we saw today and hopefully will see more of.

No harm in attacking on two fronts though.

50+1 👍

I'm all for it but smashing stuff up inside the ground, such as cameras owned by Sky etc made it turn from a football fans protest to a knobheads 'right' to smash things up
Can you detail for me what was smashed up please? I don’t know you see but you clearly do so just a little itemised list will help us all out....thanks in advance

How many Man U fans are actually going to give up their seat and stay away knowing there is a huge waiting list to take their place? That’s the difference. There will never be a shortage of glory fans from the Far East.

So you won’t be that keen on the SAS then?
That’s a pretty embarrassing reply that if I’am being honest and if that’s the best you can offer then I feel sorry for you.

By the way why didn’t you include all I said rather than just pick out one paragraph?

If you don’t want to condone a police Officer being smashed in the face with a broken bottle and having to have emergency surgery it tells me all I need to know about you and the fact it has absolutely nothing at all to do with comparing it to the SAS or indeed anyone else.

Cameras owned by Sky / other TV company

I'm afraid you'll have to take my word for it rather than disclose how I know this

Thats the easy bit but have they got the balls for a boycott.

Really not sure about this demonstration 🤔, it’s too easy just to blame just the owners what about the silly amounts of money the players, staff and now agents demand. It’s not just the owners taking obscene amounts of money out of the game (which also have a huge impact throughout the football structure). Will they turn on these greedy parasites. The whole of football needs taking apart and rebuilding, but too many people within the game won’t reduce their demands, even the people who run the EFL and other governing bodies take grotesque salaries. Only answer is a full boycott but how many will refuse to pay Sky subscriptions and not go to games😪

My Man Utd season ticket holder, ex-BGS school boy, London inhabitant, so a typical supporter quite surprised me last night when in our WhatsApp group (which includes a Wet Spammer and Dirty Leedser) he was the only one supporting the Glazers. He agreed that whilst the Oystons had drained BFC of cash and starved it of investment the same couldn't be said about the Glazers. He also thought "better the devil you know".
Gary Neville thinks the Glazers should sell up but of course the list of potential buyers would be very small and probably come from a pool similar to those investors in the other ESL wannabees.
Of course Utd fans want the success back that they enjoyed under Fergie but that's never going to happen with any fan owned club.
As for the protestors themselves, the genuine ones of which I'm sure there was a majority, tend to get tainted by those who just wanted a bit of excitement and a rumble with the police.

So they slashed a copper's face with a broken bottle
Smashed a £20grand tv camera
Broke the windows in hospitality

Yeah. They set a real example to football fans everywhere.

Why are you so bothered how I know this ?

I think you think I'm telling fibs. Given how it all played out I bet you a pound to a penny that more damage was caused, let alone the cops getting bottled too

Exactly Walnut! What is the one thing that these greedy owners care about? Money! Follow the example of BFC supporters, boycott and starve them out!

Totally agree what kind of person/business has the kind of wealth to buy Man Utd your just replacing gonorrhoea with syphilis.

That's the crux of the problem fans may complain about their owners but they know what it's worth and the money that comes in makes them so far out of reach for many.

It also helps if you have a Football friendly Judge, a Latvian with deep pockets and cajones the size of bowling balls and a home grown “boy done well for himself” type to pick up the reigns!

Of course us humble fans played our part in bringing it all to the attention of a wider audience but I guess Manchester United will never be short of publicity, their fans should use this as their vehicle for protest so will already be one step ahead of where we were.

Will United be charged with failing to control their fans by the way?

Next game will be behind closed doors I've heard.

Horrible working class people in a football ground. Ugh. So simple minded all of them. All they need is Mbappe and then they'll all be happy.

It's exactly this kind of thing that got thrown at us over our protests. I remember the media saying stuff about 'well, it's just because they're struggling, Oyston was popular when they got to the premier league' as if non of the discontent that had rumbled on for years and years was a thing at all. They've been protesting for SIXTEEN years. They've set up a new football club and maintained it for that length of time to name just one of their 'non violent' achievements.

IT's like taking people like TAM, Christine and many, many others (they were just two that came to mind) and just ignoring what they had to say and making the protests entirely about the few moments where stuff boiled over a bit.

It's not simply about where they are in the league as it wasn't with us. Just as Liverpool fans have been vocal about the way their club is going down the same routes. I'm baffled by people who've been through what we went through, trotting out exactly the same stuff that pissed most of us off when it happened to us.

I'm not saying every single fan in that ground would have quoted an eloquent speech about the soul of football, the importance of a club to it's community but reducing their actions to just 'it's just a bunch of chavs' is exactly why we don't ** get anywhere ever and our sport is owned lock, stock and barrel by people who largely, don't give a flying fuck about it. Cos English football fans are incapable of actually doing anything about it.

We saw EXACTLY that response after Huddersfield and the likes of the Glazers are in may way like Oyston. The sums they spend are bigger, the sums they take are bigger. They operate in a sociopathic manner and whilst they might not have some of the colourful idiosyncrasies of our beloved former owners and his son, they're a family running a club in a manner that suits them, not the people who support the club. It's about economies of scale. Some people literally said 'Ah, well Oyston provided a decent budget for 2011/12 - what are you moaning for' and it's the same thing with the Glazers. They run the club as fiefdom, in their own interests. Yes, they sometimes invest in players, but they've mired it with debt, failed to invest in the structures of the club and to top it off, wanted to take it into a Super League without asking anyone.

Worry not though, as one day maybe we too can enjoy being priced out of Bloomfield Road, our seats replaced by a megastore extension, placed on a 4 year waiting list for tickets and we can thrill in seeing Norwegians on a day trip waltzing past us with armfuls of merchandise on their way in for their once in a year treat. Obviously, we'll all be happy as we'll have bought Mbappe and that will be a price worth paying when we relocate our home games to Dehli as part of the MEGALEAGUE.

Football has been sleepwalking towards this shit for years.

Half of the clowns won't even know what they're protesting against and have just gone to cause of a bit of havoc.

There you have it. Protesting is to be encouraged and applauded. However, when you allow it to be highjacked by morons intent on violence and destruction of property you lose the majority of any wider sympathy you might have. Some numbskulls might think it's 'cool' but it won't get them anywhere.

The main positive of the entire BFC campaign was that it was non-violent. On the whole. That's why we won. In the end.

our protests didnt get the coverage it should have done and still the FA have not learned the power of supporters its OUR TEAMS AND OUR GAME but at least our protests were peaceful and mainly dignified

The people I feel for are the nightclub owners, watch salesmen and premium car dealerships. After the year they’ve had this is the last thing they need. The money from the Far East needs to keep flowing in otherwise these stalwarts of the economy will simply go to the wall. If we expect the Salford locals to fund these businesses then we are kidding ourselves. It’ll be a sad day for society when these guys have to up sticks to Madrid instead.

Yet its fine and dandy for American police to go brutal on people because they might have a criminal record, so probably deserve it.

You need to get your story straight.

Well said. Newcastle Trust were championing the replacement of Ashley by the Saudi family who allegedly were involved in the murder of an innocent man, and custodians from a country who's record on human rights is appalling.

Money is the driver and talk of fit and proper persons for owners is subjective, and in some cases entirely hypocritical

Anyone else seen the alleged footage of 3 police officers kicking the proverbial out of a United fan behind the police van that’s apparently doing the rounds on social media?

I was asking him to detail the damage..... he was making it up
Well Blood

I've a question for you ? How do you know this didn't happen ?

As for me, I obviously don't have to justify myself to you but in order for you to get you little thrill and knowing how I know, I'm a Police Officer in Manchester, know people at the ground working it and have been told of the damage. I've been privvy to a report on the incident and not only have I been told of it by the lads there I've also seen the said damage being caused on the TV and also a photo of it being thrown to the floor on social media. So that is four sources, in addition I believe another poster confirmed the damage of the camera at £29k and also some doors amongst other stuff I'd imagine

I'm a 47 year old fella not some child that wants to make up stories to sound good in a faceless fanzine about the football club I support.

Hope you're now all giddy and happy that you now know how I know

Lots of love x

What a load of crap that is Wiz, WTF has this got to do with American Police?

It’s not fans protesting is dam right thuggery and once again the Police (British) are in the firing line for simply doing their job.

I’am afraid you’ve gone down a notch or two with a pathetic comment like that always thought you were a sensible bloke even though we don’t see eye to eye on a lot of topics.

Copper probably deserved it. Don’t believe Gary Lineker and his left wing media mates to get the truth. These were the genuine fans not taking any more. Like us they have found their tipping point. It was only short of a man on the balcony in a mask 👍
So let me have it right, and let's be dead clear on what you said

The Cop probably deserved it.

Deserved what ? Getting smashed in the face with a bottle ?

Get a grip of your life son
