Hi all,

Some of you might remember a few years ago I announced I was working on a book about the last years of the Oyston regime, the protests, the boycott, the shady financial stuff and court cases behind the scenes. I had probably two books worth of interview transcripts done, but unfortunately I kinda gave up on the project, I was just out of uni at the time and probably bit off more than I can chew, plus the Oystons were still looking for fans they could sue, so I left it.

A few months ago I picked back up where I left off, and I'm delighted to say I have a publisher and the book is scheduled for a September 2021 launch - that's if all goes to plan and I can finish on time. I'll have more updates as we get closer to release, but I hope this will be an all-encompassing tell all that will serve as a biography of the club during the time period. Watch this space!

Could be a best seller mate 👍

That's great news, I've always thought there's a great story to be told here that transcends just BFC and should be followed by any football fan in terms of the state of the game, club ownership, and how poorly the league regulates clubs. All it would take is someone to do the vast amount of leg-work to get it all right - as the deeper you go the more interesting and crazy the story is, and I don't think the media ever really captured how bad things got and everything that happened. Will definitely be buying it!

Crazy indeed - some of the stuff that went on defies belief. Regrettably because of litigation risks much will have to remain out of the public domain

Check it with your lawyers before publishing Foggy. I would hate those dirty vermin coming after you.
That said, anything contentious just write "Mr Belekon said"...... doubt they would go for a round 2 with the Latvian Liberator!

Do you think it will be possible to get Owen and Karl to sign the first editions? 😃
I’m hoping they will both be at the book launch at the Armfield Club to sign copies, after all one of the numpties had an 'Oyston Out' scarf draped around his shoulders outside the court in 2017!

My birthday`s mid September so if available then it would be a nice present for my son to give. If not it would fit nicely in my Christmas stocking!

Look forward to a good read hope there are a few new revelations and insights.

I've always thought about this point, so Tam could you answer.. If the author wrote some defamatory and horrible facts about a person. Can that person still pursue a case against the author even if the facts written were truth?.

Good luck fella.... The period needs to be put down in writing

Just hope you have a good legal team as I'm sure that certain people will have their legal eagles checking out every single word

Good luck 👍👍

Sounds great and I'll buy a copy.. any outsiders will read it tho and think why have you just mad all the crap up.

Get a good book sorted and I reckon a film will then follow.. be great to show the world what the scum were really like.

Good luck mate

It wouldn't be defamatory if true but you must tread carefully
If you are quoting verbatim from the judgment you are I would have thought on safe ground. Beyond that .....
The stuff I was referring related to some of the ' underground ' activities that took place and some of the individuals who became involved There are some incredible stories to tell but maybe not just yet

I hope it’s balanced. You’ll need 62yrs input to get the perspective of those who did nothing but slag off the boycotters on social media whilst funding the regime.
